"Hey everyone! Are you enjoying all of the amazing challenges so far? Are you ready for another one? My Anniversary material is Aluminum +Tin! Adding metals to cards is so trendy right now and with the technique I will be sharing it couldn’t be easier! I am showing how to create the Tarnished Foil technique. This is a perfect technique for creating cards for the upcoming Fall season, but is versatile enough to use anytime! With all of the supplies being readily available, it’s something that everyone can do! I’m so very excited to be hosting this challenge and cannot wait to see what you all create!"
- Trim A2 card base from Kraft cardstock. Trim smaller kraft panel and sponge with Kraft ink using Dots stencil.
- Trim kraft layer measuring 4” wide by 3” tall. Sponge all kraft layers with gold ink.
- Wipe black permanent ink onto tin sheet. Emboss with Woodgrain Stencil.
- Apply Versamark ink in small patches on tin sheet and add copper embossing powder. Heat set.
- Repeat above step using gold embossing powder.
- Rub permanent black ink over gold and copper embossing to achieve tarnished look. Trim to 4” wide by 2 ¾” tall. Adhere to smaller kraft layer.
- Die cut leaves and sentiment.
- Add gold embossing powder to lower portion of sentiment die cut.
- Adhere tin layer to kraft background using dimensional foam. Adhere to card base.
- Adhere leaves and sentiment to tin layer. Glue on twine bow.
- INK: Kraft, Versamark, Jet Black Archival Ink (Ranger) or Jet Black StazOn in (Tsukineko), Delicata Gold
- PAPER: Kraft, True Black, Honey Nut, Simply Chartreuse, Scarlet Jewel
- DIES: Leaf Silhouettes, Counting My Blessings
- OTHER: Woodgrain Stencil, Stencil Basics: Dots, Copper Embossing Powder, Gold Embossing Powder, Tin Crafting Sheets (or Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil), Black twine
