August 2017 Release: Day 5

We're showcasing some fun new products today, including something you all see to have fallen in love with using -- stencils!!  Not only that, but we've got you covered for "thinking of you" and "all occasion" cards!  You're in for a treat....hope you enjoy!

 

We are excited to launch an all new line of stencils that are sure to quickly become favorites!  They will be sold in sets of two, making them economical and easy to collect!  Use them in a variety of ways, with any of your favorite coloring mediums such as ink blending or watercolor.  Have even more fun by mixing texture paste with your ink, to create textured dots!  The collection will be covering lots of great basics that are versatile must-haves! Stencils measure 6x6 so they can work well in any orientation on an A2 card.

The Ways to Say series is a set that gives you multiple ways to express a certain sentiment. This set features many ways to express to someone that they are on your mind with the “thinking of you” sentiment. The sentiments are perfect for adding to cards to send your congrats to friends and loved ones.

We all have someone we want to say "Hey There" to now and again. Now you can do so for a variety of occasions and recipients with this versatile mix and match sentiment set. Start with the large "Hey There", then add to it. Add below, underneath or even beside. Use one companion sentiment or five! The choice is yours! As an added bonus there are several stripes included that can be added behind or under any of the sentiments. Lots of room for customization here!

We are excited to introduce you to the new Bitty Big line of basic patterned papers. We heard our customers loud and clear and you love to have the basics on hand, but you don't want to spend a lot of money to invest in all the colors. These collections will be offered in single color packages, with a few new colors being introduced each month. Each package will contain 3 patterns, stripes, dotes and gingham. The three patterns are printed double sided, with one side featuring a small version of the pattern and the other side featuring large scale. So you get two options for your designs with less sheets to invest in!

• Each collection includes 24 sheets (8 sheets of each double-sided pattern). 
• Each sheet features the bitty version of the pattern on one side, and the reverse features the big version.
• Printed on smooth 8-1/2" x 11" text weight paper.
• The collections will be available in Canyon Clay, Orange Zest and True Black on August 15th.

Keeway Tsao is featuring Hey Stacks.

 

Keeway really showcases how you can use the stripes behind, above and below the various stackable sentiments included in this set. When you are designing with basics like this, a whole world of possibilities is at your fingertips.

You definitely don't have to be limited to stacking these sentiments vertically, they work horizontally too! You can fill a strip like Keeway did here, or even an entire card front.

I love how she put everything at an angle here.The bold colorful stripes really help to draw the eye in and around the project. The addition of the basic stars helps to break things up so they aren't too symmetrical. The thin black lines she drew provide a nice element that ties in the black sentiments.

Melissa Phillips is featuring Stencil Basics: Dots + Ways to Say: Thinking of You.

Don't you just love the mixture of textures and color here? Melissa did an amazing job putting all of these elements together! The stenciling she did with the polka dot background is gorgeous, I love how each dot is slightly shaded to help add some depth.

Of course the stencils work beautifully when used with multiple colors too, like Melissa did here with this ombré effect. So clever to bring together all of the colors used on the card with the dots, it can help to unify nearly any color scheme you dream up.

The fonts Heather selected for the design of this set go with so many things, so you can reach for them often and be confident they will be the perfect finishing touch for your project.
