Modern + Marbled: Day 3

I am thrilled to bring you even more creative goodness using the new Modern + Marbled Kit. Have you seen all the details? If you missed them, you can read all about it as well as Kimberly's story HERE.

 

Today we are pleased to share TWO extra special project from Laurie Schmidlin! Click HERE to see her full post!

Card:

1. Die cut “thank you” from Smokey Shadow cardstock
2. Die cut hexagon frame out of Sweet Blush cardstock using the large and medium hexagons 
3. Die cut large hexagon out of vellum cardstock and adhere underneath hexagon frame
4. Using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder, emboss the lower half of thank you die cut
5. Cut two Soft Stone rectangles and two white rectangles
6. Stamp the white rectangles with marble image using Soft Stone ink
7. Mount rectangles onto A2 Soft Stone card base using dimensional foam
8. Adhere hexagon frame using dimensional foam
9. Adhere thank you die cut onto hexagon/vellum frame

Envelope:

1. Stamp marble image onto envelope flap using Soft Stone ink
2. Adhere faux wax seal to envelop flap

• OTHER: Gold detail embossing powder

 

Card:

1. Die cut “thank you” from True Black cardstock
2. Adhere die cut to strip of Soft Stone cardstock
3. Emboss “Ever So Much” sentiment at bottom of strip using gold embossing powder
4. Emboss marble image all over a Smokey Shadow panel using white embossing powder
5. Emboss two of the line images using gold embossing powder and cut out
6. Adhere gold strips into an “x” pattern onto Smokey Shadow panel
7. Mat Smokey Shadow panel with True Black cardstock
8. Adhere Soft Stone sentiment strip to Smokey Shadow panel
9. Mount to A2 Soft Stone card base using dimensional foam

Envelope:

1. Trace envelope flap edge with the Nuvo glue pen and let dry
2. Add Nuvo gold flakes
3. Die cut small hexagon out of Soft Stone cardstock
4. Attach hexagon to envelope flap
5. Attach faux gold seal on top of hexagon

• OTHER: White Detail Embossing Powder, Gold Detail Embossing Powder

1. Use a piece of Soft Stone cardstock to create an A2 sized card base.
2. Stamp the upper portion of the card front with the marble stamp in Soft Stone Ink.
3. Die cut the center die of the Mix & Mat: Herringbone die set from white cardstock and trim to your desired shape. Adhere to card base using staples on the left side.
4. Wrap a piece of Black & White Bakers Twine around the left side of the white die cut and tie a knot at the top.
5. Adhere one of the faux wax seals in the center of the card front overlapping the white die cut and the card base.
6. Die cut the smallest hexagon from Sweet Blush cardstock.
7. Using the Nuvo Glue Pen, draw lines on the hexagon in your desired pattern and then fill in using the Nuvo Gold Gilding Flakes.
8. Die cut the “thank you” die from True Black cardstock. Adhere to the Sweet Blush hexagon using liquid glue.
9. Adhere the hexagon to the front of card base, overlapping the wax seal, using dimensional adhesive.
