Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
One of the things I love about the Jungle Buddies collection is that you can use the stamps alone, or you can just accent the die-cuts like I did here with the lion.
I cut all the pieces from white cardstock and then used Copic markers to add all of my color.
The sentiments included in the coordinating Jungle Buddies Sentiments set are so clever, with this being my favorite. What a unique and fun way to congratulate someone on an achievement!
- STAMPS: Jungle Buddies, Jungle Buddies Sentiments
- INK: Canyon Clay, True Black
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White
- DIES: Jungle Buddies dies, Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle dies, Garden Party
- OTHER: Comic markers, white gel pen, adhesive pearls, black sharpie
On my next project I wanted to focus on the new Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle dies. Not only do you get an awesome frame that really helps set the stage for a jungle themed project, but you also get some gorgeous detailed individual palms and other accessories.
I layered all of them to create a complete jungle background.
Just like in the card above, I die-cut all the pieces from white cardstock and added my color with Copic markers.
The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark onto a strip of Orange Zest and heat embossed in white.
- STAMPS: Jungle Buddies, Jungle Buddies Sentiments
- INK: Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, VersaMark
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Hawaiian Shores, Orange Zest
- DIES: Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle dies, Jungle Buddies dies
- OTHER: Comic markers, White Filigree Embossing Powder
This project uses all three of the adorable animals included in Jungle Buddies.
I used the same colors from the animals to create this border using a pattern from Textile Impressions.
The arrows direct your eye to the small sentiment added to the end of the strip.
- STAMPS: Jungle Buddies, Ways to Say: Hello
- INK: Bright Buttercup, Orange Zest, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, True Black
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White
- OTHER: Prisma Glitter, adhesive pearls, black sharpie
I have always loved creating postcard sets, there is something so fun about gifting a set to someone knowing they will put them to good use.
I always make my postcards double layer cardstock so they are thick enough to stand up to the mail. This also makes it so you don't need to worry about bleed through, especially if you are using markers. I just adhere the two layers together with a strong adhesive like Scor-tape.
- STAMPS: Hello Mother, Hello Father, Keep It Simple: Happy Mail
