Today, we're looking to the skies with our product introductions, focusing on all things celestial. We've got several new companion products we think you're going to enjoy, as well as the next installment in the Quoted stamp series. Let's get right to the projects!
These gorgeously detailed sun & moon images give you all kinds of versatility in the way they are designed. You can pair half a sun with a script half circle sentiments for an extra stylish look. Or go more traditional and create a full sun. The moon can be used alone, or layered on top of half the sun since they were designed to the same scale. The sentiments make the celestial images perfect for many occasions.

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
My first project uses one of my favorite techniques for detailed images such as the ones featured in Sun & Moon, watercolor resist.
There is just something magical about the way the watercolor fills all of the nooks and crannies.
The set contains a series of sentiments that are already curved to fit around the sun or moon. It's always fun to have little features like that to include in your designs, a little something out of the norm to keep things fresh and exciting.

The sun also looks beautiful when simply heat embossed and left as is, The detail just comes to life.
I used the center of the sun to create a beautiful tone on tone background.
The scalloped edge was created around the circles that make up the background.

This bold black card really makes a statement and was easy to create too.
The new Background Basics: Celestial Sky makes it SO easy to create amazing detailed backgrounds that look like they took lots of time to create. I heat embossed it in black, then went back in with a gold paint pen to add a few more details around the moon.

Laurie Schmidlin is joining me today, featuring Sun & Moon.
The bold contrast that Laurie created here by embossing the center of the sun on black an the main portion on white is truly stunning. Note the three pops of black in the center, sentiment strip and card base. This adds visual balance for the bold color.

This sentiment is meaningful for so many people and Laurie has showcased it beautifully with these layered tags. Not only do the colors define gender, but the accents do as well, with gemstones for the feminine pink version and wooden stars for the masculine.
