Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
My first project today uses the lovely new Cutaway Tags: Spring collection. The detailed tag die, paired with the stamp set allows you to play with endless combinations to create coordinating elements.
The tag is so detailed, you just need to cut and go with no layering required. I decided to add some color using Copic Markers.
It has an easy place at the top that you can loop twine to tie it onto a package or bag. I designed it this way so it didn't have to have a hole so it could be used on cards as well.
The stamps coordinate with all of the images found in the die-cut. You can stamp the tag, or you can use them alone as I have on this matching card.
Many of the little images have detail stamps to coordinate with the solid images. I have always loved being able to add another layer of color like that, it really takes a project to a whole new level.
I heat embossed the sentiment and added some additional details with a white gel pen.
- STAMPS: Cutaway Tags: Spring (available March 15th)
- INK: Dark Indigo, Blueberry Sky, Stormy Sea, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Honey Nut, Canyon Clay, VersaMark
- PAPER: Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White
- DIES: Cutaway Tags: Spring die
- OTHER: White Filigree Embossing Powder, white gel pen, Natural Baker's Twine, Copic Markers
Here's a card where I watercolored the fabulous Cutaway Tags: Spring die-cut and placed it on a card.
I cut the die from watercolor paper and went to town with my Zig Clean Color Markers.
I love how bright and bold they are.
The sentiment is from Keep It Simple: Friendship, stamped in black in the center. I love having a place built in for the sentiment like this. It makes it really easy to pull a project together.
- STAMPS: Keep It Simple: Friendship (available March 15th)
- INK: True Black
- PAPER: Tropical Teal, watercolor paper
- DIES: Cutaway Tags: Spring die
- OTHER: Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, water pen, white gel pen
The new tag die is also gorgeous just cut out of pretty cardstock.
It gives you a whole new level of options when you cut it in half.
I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark onto a sheet of vellum, then carefully brushed some Perfect Pearls across it. Sometimes metallic Perfect Pearls are a great solution when you want that heat embossed look, but don't want to warp a layer like this delicate vellum.
I used a Swiffer dry cloth to wipe off the excess powder so I was left with this nice, clean sentiment.
- STAMPS: Cutaway Tags: Spring (available March 15th)
- INK: VersaMark
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Mint Julep, Vellum Cardstock
- DIES: Cutaway Tags: Spring die
- OTHER: 1/8" Scor-tape, Perfect Pearls (perfect gold), small paintbrush, Swiffer dry cloth
This bright and bold Easter card came together quickly using the Cutaway Tags: Spring stamps alone.
To add balance, I toed some orange embroidery floss under the yellow sentiment strip.
- STAMPS: Cutaway Tags: Spring (available March 15th)
- INK: Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Bright Buttercup, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, VersaMark, True Black
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Simply Chartreuse, Bright Buttercup
- OTHER: White Filigree Embossing Powder, black pen, orange embroidery floss
How adorable is this Carrot Treat Box! The entire design team is just dying over it behind the scenes!
It's a breeze to assembled, you just need to cut the main die twice and have two seams to adhere together. There are lots of "bonus" dies included with the collection, including a little strip die that allows you to cut felt to tie the box shut. I love that!
- STAMPS: So Sweet, Cutaway Tags: Spring (available March 15th)
- INK: Orange Zest, Fresh Snow, Smokey Shadow, Melon Berry
- PAPER: Summer Sunrise, Classic Kraft
- DIES: Carrot Treat Box dies
- OTHER: Simply Chartreuse Felt, Natural Baker's Twine,
I used some of the other bits and pieces from the Carrot Treat Box die collection to make this little carrot shaped shaker.
Lizzie added a pretty piercing/embossed border on some of the dies as you can see here. Such a pretty detail!
I die-cut one of the angled strips included int he collection, folded it half and stapled it to the top of the carrot.
I adhered several layers together, topped by a clear cardstock piece to create the shaker element, the sentiment is heat embossed on the back portion of the shaker. Lizzie selected some fabulous fonts for this stamp set!
The sweet bunny has separate images for his cheeks and even his nose. Here I added the cheeks in Sweet Blush, and added some adhesive to create a glittered nose to bring out the sequins in the shaker.
- STAMPS: So Sweet (available March 15th)
- INK: Soft Stone, VersaMark, Sweet Blush
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Soft Stone, Melon Berry, Sweet Blush
- DIES: Carrot Treat Box dies
- OTHER: mini stapler, clear sequins, Prisma Glitter, White Filigree Embossing Powder
Melissa Phillips is joining me today, featuring Cutaway Tags: Spring.
Melissa has a way with flowers, and these tags are certainly no exception. Her bold, bright color choices paired with pretty ribbons and buttons make these showstoppers.
- STAMPS: Cutaway Tags: Spring (available March 15th)
- INK: Hawaiian Shores and Orange Zest
- PAPER: Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, and Sweet Blush cardstock, Sheer Basics Vellum
- DIES: Cutaway Tags: Spring die, Latin Motifs dies, Scene It: Basic Backer dies
- OTHER: Berry Sorbet, Harvest Gold, and Lavender Moon felt, Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, and Sweet Blush buttons
She really gave the tag a whole new look by layering this banner over the center. Since there was already a strip across the center, there aren't any pretty details covered up! I love the way she stamped the little details onto the leaves and flowers.

- INK: Green Parakeet, Harvest Gold, Lavender Moon, Lilac Grace, Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse

- PAPER: Fresh Snow Linen Cardstock, Chicken Scratch Gingham
All the layering and frames really set the stage for the stamped floral elements and help show off the Cutaway Tags: Spring stamps as a stand alone product. Adding the die-cut sun is another fabulous finishing detail.
- STAMPS: Cutaway Tags: Spring (available March 15th)
- INK: Aqua Mist, Autumn Rose, Harvest Gold, Lavender Moon, Mint Julep, Pale Peony, Simply Chartreuse, Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise

Heather Nichols is joining me today, featuring So Sweet and Carrot Treat Box dies.
Heather kept things simple with her carrot box, making them easy to mass produce. The way she tied her tag around the actual box helps it to stand out and not get lost in the green ribbon topper.
- STAMPS: So Sweet
- INK: True Black, Pale Peony, Sweet Blush
- PAPER: white, kraft, Orange Zest
- DIES: Carrot Treat Box die, So Sweet die, Tag Sale: Quilted (banner)
- OTHER: Spring Moss polka dot ribbon, Spring Moss twill ribbon, Rustic Jute button twine
The Easter egg background here is so colorful and fresh, a perfect complement to the scalloped card base. I never would have though to put three bunnies in a row like this, but I love the way it looks.
- STAMPS: So Sweet, Keep it Simple: Easter, Bunny Basket
- INK: True Black, Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss
- PAPER: white, kraft
- DIES: So Sweet die, Noted: Scalloped Square die
- OTHER: sequins
Heather's background here is definitely a showstopper. The oval tag from the Carrot Treat Box die collection is a great way to add a sentiment and break up all the straight lines. The pink floral border really brings out the pink used for the bunnies noses and cheeks.
- STAMPS: So Sweet, Bunny Basket (flowers)
- INK: True Black, Fresh Snow, Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst
- PAPER: white, kraft, Raspberry Fizz
- DIES: Carrot Treat Box die (tag)
- OTHER: Rustic Jute button twine
