For some people, the truly sincere, heartfelt sentiments just don’t cut the mustard. You know the people. They tend to be boys (of all ages), girlfriends that have seen you on your least glamorous days, and the colleagues that you know, but don’t really know. Offbeat Birthday by Lizzie Jones fills the void for those folks using casual humor and a sideways smirk. These sentiments pair wonderfully with any of the birthday images you already have in your collection, breathing new life into older stamp sets.

You will love this set of two frames and all of the detail they include. From small punch-out designs, to stitched flourishes, these will be a gorgeous addition to any project. The centers of the frames include stitching lines as an added accent. Choose to use the frames with the stitched centers or without!

Bring a whole new look to your projects with this unique set of sentiments that I designed! These hip, modern phrases each have three steps, allowing you to create a three dimensional looking sentiment that's perfect for any recipient, male or female, young and old. Use the coordinating dies (sold separately) to create even more pop!

One of my favorite things to do is to add multiple small shapes in a variety of colors to create an impactful design. This die collection is designed out of necessity, to provide a quick and easy way to create many like shaped in just one pass. With eight varieties of shapes to choose from, you will love experimenting with the ways you can add them to your projects. Perfect for when you have a sentiment that is on the busier or larger side of things, and you just need a little something to accent it.

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
I am so excited about Lizzie's new Inflate & Celebrate set! I have always wanted a clever way to make birthday cards more fun and interactive for loved ones who live far away and I feel like this is the perfect thing! Who wouldn't love to receive this and know that someone is thinking of them on their big day?
After figuring out how the frame was going to be oriented on the card, I marked roughly where I would want the holes to go for holding the balloon in place. I then die-cut the holes using the All Tied Up die. I really like this simple little die and think it is well worth the $2 investment. It's cheaper than a hole punch and you can add the holes wherever you like with no restrictions on reach like a hole punch.
Black & white baker's twine was used to tie the balloon in place.

Whenever we ask customers what their biggest challenge is, it is always masculine birthday cards. The new Shadowed Sentiments set is perfect for this, and of course it is versatile enough to use for really any recipient.
With three impressions you can create this awesome, dimensional sentiment with so much impact, you don't need to add much else!
Glitter of course makes everything better!

I don't know about you, but I love to find ways to get more use out of my sentiment stamps. This background was easy to create with the same "It's Your Day" stamp from Shadowed Sentiments.
I was able to incorporate this punchy little sentiment from Offbeat Birthday as well. To add emphasis to it, I added it to a square of Soft Stone cardstock and popped it up. I am loving the little striped shadow stamp that Lizzie included for a few of the sentiments in this set. It is a really nice finishing detail.

- INK: Bright Buttercup, Limeade Ice, Soft Stone, Smokey Shadow, VersaMark
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Soft Stone
- OTHER: Filigree White Embossing Powder, white gel pen
How about a super simple card next? You don't have to use all three steps of the Shadowed Sentiments stamps. Here I have only used the first two, and they look great as is! A more clean look.
I added a few stamped polka dots to add some additional detail.

The Fun Frames dies have so much beautiful detail, you don't have to do much else to them to make them shine and be the star of the show!
After adhering the frame in place, I decided the perimeter of the Spring Rain cardstock needed a little something and I began playing around with doodling with my trusty white gel pen. It was super fun and easy to do.
The doodling is just a combination of flowers, squiggles and curls. You really can't go wrong!
- STAMPS: Keep It Simple: Friendship (available March 15th)
- INK: VersaMark
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Spring Rain, Lilac Grace
- DIES: Fun Frame die
- OTHER: Filigree White Embossing Powder, white gel pen
I have already come to find out that the new Multiply dies will be a new mainstay on my studio table! They make it so easy to create a card and they literally have endless possibilities!
I started playing with the circles. I cut 1" strips of five colors of paper and die-cut the circles from each strip. With one pass of the die, I get five circles, which is the perfect number to build a pattern like this.
I used small dots of Glossy Accents to adhere small silver star sequins randomly over the circles.
Note that the circles touch each other. I did this so I didn't have to worry about even spacing!
- STAMPS: Offbeat Birthday (available March 15th)
- INK: True Black
- PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Soft Stone, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Simply Chartreuse, Limeade Ice
- DIES: Multiply die
- OTHER: silver star sequins, Glossy Accents
I've always loved the way a bold sentiment looks stamped in black on our Smokey Shadow cardstock. It's unexpected and pretty classy looking.
This extra large sentiment from Offbeat Birthday looks especially grand.
I used the small thin rectangles from the Multiply die collection next. I was planning on adhering them in a perfect row but made a mistake early on and decided I kind of liked it a bit more random! I love it when snafus lead to good design!
- STAMPS: Offbeat Birthday (March 15th)
- INK: True Black
- PAPER: Smokey Shadow, Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Bright Buttercup
- DIES: Multiply die
- OTHER: 1/8" Scor-tape
I was playing around with my supplies and happened upon a fun idea that is reminiscent of something I did in Girl Scouts as a young child. I was so pleased it worked with paper crafting supplies I had on hand! This led to me wanting to do a short and quick video to show you how easy it is to do yourself. I'm going to try to do more video features here on the blog. It's something I avoid a lot because of the time involved in shooting, editing, etc. So I thought I would instead shoot short videos right in the studio with my iPhone. They are little informal clips, as if you were creating right beside me. I hope this is a feature you will enjoy. Onto the show!
See, isn't that fun and easy?
When I created my rainbow reinker paper, I just did one swipe on a single sheet of cardstock and then started cutting it up in different ways.
The sentiments are all from Offbeat Birthday, stamped in Royal Velvet. I really like how the shimmer cardstock kind of tones down colors when absorbing them. It's kind of like finding new colors in your stash!
I added these scalloped glitter borders that I cut from silver glitter paper with my very old scalloped scissors. It's fun to dig older supplies like this out from time to time.
These cards were so easy to create once the rainbow work was done! You could do several sheets at once and make a huge stash of cards with all of your favorite sentiment stamps!
You can add a few small stamped embellishments like I did here with the stars, in case you feel like it needs a bit extra.
- STAMPS: Offbeat Birthday (available March 15th)
- INK: Royal Velvet, (refills) Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz
- PAPER: White Shimmer, Simply Chartreuse, Raspberry Fizz, silver glitter paper (Hobby Lobby)
- OTHER: rhinestones, credit card or plastic spatula

One of the many amazing products introduced today were the new Multiply dies. Now it's your turn to dig through your stash and find some kind of shape to repeat on a project of your own. Whether the shapes are large or small, play around with arrangements and color combinations. Be sure to use a minimum of three repeating shapes and usually a good rule of thumb is to include an odd number of them for best visual appeal. Have fun experimenting!
1. Create a new project that incorporates multiples of a single shape, stamped or die-cut.
2. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product.
3. Upload a photo of your project to your blog, Instagram, online gallery or any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).
4. Add the direct link to your project on our InLinkz list below.
