Everyone knows that great dies can not only make creating so fun but also so easy! Today, we're showcasing some new dies that we think you're going to have a ball playing with! Mix and match them with other items in your existing stash for tons of creative options! These are gorgeous new dies you can use again and again.....always a great investment!
The new Cornered dies offer a unique way to add basic sentiments to a card. Place the die cut in the lower left hand side of a card front and embellish as you please, or you can get creative and find other ways to use these dies too! Think stenciling, embossing paste, inlaid looks, coloring, glittered, metallics...the possibilities are endless!

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
It's easy to make a stunning card with the new Grand Botanicals dies. They are generously sized so they fill an entire card front very easily. The cards practically come together by themselves!
For this first card I opted to gut all the pieces out of white cardstock and sit down with my Copic markers and play. It was so fun to experiment with different color combos using all the various layers and such.
I used a white gel pen to add a few special details here and there.
The sentiment from Banner Style was heat embossed just to the side of the kraft card base.
Trust me, you will have a BLAST with these!
For a simpler approach, you can just cut the dies from a variety of paper colors. I used a slightly nontraditional color scheme here which gives the card a bit of a modern feel.
I added a few leaves from he Gathered Garden die collection using Dark Indigo cardstock.
Family Ties looks gorgeous with these new floral dies, here I used the "Sister" die cut along with the stamped phrase from the coordinating stamp set.
The texture you get when you layer the pieces is just awesome.
There are so many fun color combinations you could play around with for a layout like this!
Creating watercolored backgrounds like this are right on trend and now you can let them shine through with the new Cornered dies!
I cut three layers of the birthday Cornered die from Lilac Grace cardstock and adhered them together using a two-way glue pen.
I scribbled watercolor markers onto a piece of acetate, spritzed and smoothed my watercolor paper into the puddles to get this effect.
Note how you can see all that pretty watercoloring right through the letter openings, I love that!
A super simple card that definitely has a lot of pizzazz!
I achieved a gold foil look without any effort be adhering a piece of our gold foil sticker sheets underneath a Cornered die-cut.
The background of the card was created with all the Grand Botanicals dies. I just cut them from white cardstock, adhered them to the card front and trimmed anything extending past the edge. All the great detail really pops when they are used monochromatically like this.
The gold foil behind the sentiments is so pretty, would definitely look wonderful in silver too!
You could try the same design except all of the white elements replaced with Smokey Shadow; I'm sure it would be dramatically stunning as well!
You can also use the Cornered dies for other purposes than just the standard triangle die-cut.
Here I impressed the die into my cardstock and used the lines left behind to create outlines for coloring with markers.
The outline was done with a white gel pen.
If you wanted the same effect without coloring, you could die-cut all the letters in the various colors and use the negative as a guide to adhere the individual letters in place!
I also made a fun discovery that the letters stencil beautifully through the die-cut, here I used that technique with modeling paste.
I colored the paste with reinkers and spread it out over the words letting the colors blend as I worked.
The effect is really quite beautiful.
