Join Dawn this week, as she shares a peek into her process for making a stack of double-layer gift tags.

If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.

November 2016 Blog Hop

Today we are excited to present the BIG monthly Blog Hop that Papertrey Ink hosts for all of its talented customers to show off their skills! Maybe it was the gold foil polka dots on the Hawaiian Shores gift boxes that did it...or those bright candy colored ornaments on the frosty tree. Whatever it was, this inspiration picture just left me smiling and itching to create a holiday card that used a non-traditional color scheme. Put your creativity to work creating any kind of project using some of the elements from this gorgeous photo. It could be anything from a birthday card to a holiday themed project. Gather some of your favorite supplies and create something extra special for a special someone!

Shelly Sweigart created this beauty that took inspiration from the bright colored ornaments on the tree. Loving how she embossed the boughs in white to echo the tree in the picture, it looks so pretty against that Aqua Mist background! The light ink blending she did on the background also added a lot to the project.

 

Paperkicks made this large snowflake the focal point of her card. The way she added design balance to the card with the sentiment being a little wider than the snowflake is perfectly executed. Keeping the color scheme simple also allows for all the little details to stand out more. Gorgeous project.

 

Sandy Kay used the bright teal boxes with gold foil dots as the inspiration for her card. I love the fun mix of metallics and bold, bright colors. It makes such a statement!

Make It Monday Break

Just a head's up that there won't be a Make It Monday video this week.
