I felt like we needed a new green that had less of a yellow tone to it, and more of a blue/gray tone. Especially with the pretty greenery images in this month's release. A nice "Christmasy" green, especially gorgeous when paired with Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel or Americana. Olive Twist products will be available for purchase on September 15th in the following options:

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
There is just something about the combination of greenery and berries that makes you think Christmas. Dawn's new greenery set is full of detail and simply gorgeous.
I created a little arrangement using various elements from the set. The greenery was stamped in our new Olive Twist color, the berries in Scarlet Jewel and the pinecones in Cocoa Bean. All of the images were brushed with a water pen to give them that watercolored look.
I stamped "Merry" directly onto the card in True Black, and die-cut "Christmas" from he same watercolor paper and stamped it with Holiday Swoosh in Scarlet Jewel.
A Dark Chocolate card base helps to balance all of the rich jewel tones of this card.
When mailing Christmas cards, it is always nice to have a flat option that is a bit more postal friendly. The card fits the bill perfectly, while also having a little visual interest with some shimmer. The sentiment from Ombré Sentiments: Christmas is heat embossed with Gold Filigree Embossing Powder.
The pine border from Holiday Green Borders is arranged perfectly so you are able to get this kind of a look with just one impression! I stamped it in VersaMark and brushed over it with Kiwi Perfect Pearls powder.
I love how this project turned out, and yet keeps that one layer card ease.
I started by stamping the gorgeous Splits: Merry & Bright frame and heat embossing it in white.
I then cut out a large "J" and "Y" that I printed from my computer. I have included a freebie printable template below.

I covered the back of the letters with a repositionable adhesive and tacked them to either side of the snowflake frame. I carefully sponged Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal from the center outward. I then used a water pen to add small droplets of water which moved the dye ink I used aside. The "Merry & Bright" sentiment was added to the center of the frame using Enchanted Evening ink.
