Here's a short video that Erin put together that showcases how easy the Stitched Car & Truck are to put together!
Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
I wanted to experiment with creating an entire background out of Erin's new amazing cars for my first project, and I think the results are fantastic! I know any little boy would be thrilled to receive a card like this!
The cars were stamped in Summer Sunrise, Canyon Clay and Smokey Shadow. I added a bumper on the front end that technically doesn't perfectly coordinate with this car design (it's meant to match one of the other car models in the set), but I wanted a little something extra at the front, so I went with it. The number is added in Terracotta Tile.
Next up was all the fun road sign details. The Route "06" is perfect for a 6th birthday, stamped in Ocean Tides and Canyon Clay. The Birthday Zone sign was added in Terracotta Tile and Smokey Shadow. Last but not least I added a small strip of Terracotta Tile cardstock with the word Detour stamped in Smokey Shadow. All of the signs were adhered with foam tape for dimension.
This card could of course be personalized for any age when using the coordinating Road Signed Numbers set!
At first glance it may seem like these new transportation themed images are for little boys, but they really have many applications for any age, especially grads and dads. This is a simple and quick graduation card. I don't know about you, but it seems like every time I need a graduation card, it's fifteen minutes before heading out the door to their celebratory party!
I stamped the background with "2017" as a graduating year, using Road Signed Numbers and Fresh Snow ink. I then added two thin strips of cardstock representing school colors.
The sign was stamped and die-cut using Road Signed. As a special touch, I went in with a fine tipped pen and drew a graduation cap onto the silhouette on the sign. Easy peasy!
You can customize the graduation year and the school colors to personalize the project for nearly any graduate!
My last card is simple an straight forward as well, great for a new driver or a 16th birthday.
Since the elements are simple, I wanted to add a little pizzazz to the "Do Not Enter" sign, so I heat embossed the whole thing with clear embossing powder to protect the ink from bleeding, then added Glossy Accents on top of that. It's just a little something, but it makes the sign look more realistic and it grabs your attention.
Underneath the sign I stamped the "New Driver Alert" sentiment along with an arrow, both in True Black. Since everything is on a Pure Poppy card base, the finished project is bright and bold.
Now that you have seen a few of my creations, here are some of the amazing things that the team has created!
