Today we are excited to present the BIG monthly Blog Hop that Papertrey Ink hosts for all of its talented customers to show off their skills! The Blog Hop is an ALL DAY EVENT! An Inlinkz list is posted below and you can add your link anytime up until 11:30pm ET. And don't worry if you didn't get a chance to make a project and play along, there is a contest for non-participants as well over in our forum in the designated thread. A day dedicated to seeking inspiration through projects utilizing Papertrey Ink products. This event allows all of our customers who enjoy sharing inspiration & artwork with their peers do so through their personal blogs.

At first glance it may seem like this beautiful artwork would inspire a geometric project of sorts. Dig deeper! Look at the way the different intensities of the colors look when layered together. Experiment with layering stencils, stamps or even vellum die-cuts in a similar way. Get inspired by the unique color scheme and the earthiness of it. Use the design as a jumping point for your layout and create your own sketch from it. Enjoy your process and explore outside your comfort zone!

Claire A. put together a great card using images from the Grunge Me stamp set. I love the way she layered the colors in the same way they are used in the inspiration photo. Such a great interpretation!
Rosemary D. used the stencils from Color Pop Florals to build her background using many of the reds, oranges and yellows found in the inspiration piece. The sponging adds a nice gradient effect that really brings the images to life.
Sue Rose focused on creating an overall background print using the colors from the inspiration art along with a circular theme. So clever to use one of the images from Friendly Flowers for this! I love the way she layered everything so new colors were created where they overlap. Die-cutting the sentiment out of the background rather than a contrasting color is also a nice touch!
