Dawn has also designed a paper collection that draws from the images found in the stamp set, which can be colored much like the adult coloring books that have become so popular lately! Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
I couldn't wait to try out the new Bold Blossoms Coloring Pages, talk about an easy card! I started with the version printed on Stamper's Select White cardstock and pulled out my Copic markers.
Blue, teal and purple hues were just the thing for this trio of blooms. It was so fun to have the images already on the page, no need to worry about a perfect impression. After I completed the coloring, I went back in with the Colorless Blender and added some line detail to each petal, almost giving the the illusion of texture.
An older favorite, Initial Thoughts, provided a nice sentiment to finish off the card, stamped in True Black.
I trimmed the A2 coloring sheet down just a tad and adhered it to a Smokey Shadow card base.
For my next project I used one of the Bold Blossoms Watercolor Sheets.
Just like the coloring sheets, I was able to jump right in and begin the watercolor process. The only hard part is narrowing down the color choices!
I used Graceful Greetings to add a bold stylish sentiment to the front after all the watercoloring dried.
I adhered the watercolor sheet to a Raspberry Fizz card base then finished the top with some black baker's twine.
This project uses one of the Bold Blossoms Watercolor Sheets too.
The sheets are printed in an ink that will not run when water is applied to it, so you get perfect results every time!
I added a lot of yellow to the center of the floral arrangements to help bring emphasis to the sentiment, stamped in True Black from the set Choose Joy.
I trimmed down the A2 coloring sheet a bit. A Classic Kraft card base finished the project perfectly.
It seemed only fair to try out the solid version of the Bold Blossoms stamp set on a baby card!
The florals are stamped onto Soft Stone cardstock using Winter Wisteria and Spring Rain. I was then able to go back in and added the outlines and centers with Fresh Snow ink. I sponged ink in a coordinating color over the center once it was stamped, adding a little shading.
The new Outlined stamp set has a frame that works well with the entire Keep It Simple Series. I stamped it in Winter Wisteria and then cut the center using a craft knife. The sentiment was stamped onto the white card base below using Charcoal Palette Ink.
Tucked In: Baby was added to the interior along with more florals.
