The Phrases & Praises set is filled with single and multi-step inspirational sentiments that will allow you to add a heartfelt touch to cards, tags, bookmarks, and more. Done in contemporary font combinations, this set has several sentiments that are large enough to use as focal points, plus several smaller sentiments that can be paired with your favorite images. This set is also perfect for adding to planners and Bible journals. Tucked In: Sympathy is the tenth in a monthly series of stamp sets designed to give you options for sentiments to stamp on the inside of cards. Whether you don’t know what to write in your card, or you just love the professional, finished look of a stamped sentiment on the inside, the Tucked In series is just what you need to take the guess-work out of what to put in your cards! The Tucked In series focuses on sentiments for different occasions each month so you’ll want to be sure to collect them all!

The detail in this new cover plate will certainly be inspiring to work with. Whether you "piece" colored card stock into all of the openings, use it as a stencil, or color the various parts of the frame directly, there are TONS of options with Cover Plate: Sunflower!

We are pleased to introduce a new color to our spectrum, Stormy Sea. It will be available in both paper and ink on November 15th. This is a soft gray blue that falls in the same family as Ocean Tides. It takes on more of a gray tone when paired with grays and a blue tone when with blues and greens.
Also, in order to provide full disclosure, we wanted to let you know that several of the colors we plan to release this year (including Stormy Sea) are considered stock colors from some of our manufacturers. They are significantly more inexpensive than creating custom colors because the formula is already established and we can purchase a smaller opening inventory. This means that the colors are something that the manufacturers developed over the years and offer to all wholesalers. It also means that you could possibly stumble across the same color at office supply stores or other craft retailers. While we will still introduce and develop our own exclusive colors as well, we wanted to provide you with as many new colors as possible throughout the year and supplementing with these stock colors helps us to fill in our spectrum. We look forward to the opportunity to continue to provide high quality color products at an affordable price.

We are also pleased to introduce the new Stormy Sea + White Basics pattern pack. These include a few basic patterns printed in bright white with Stormy Sea on our famous white linen textured paper. With a large polka dot, bitty dot, thin stripe and diagonal stripe, you will have all of the basics covered and find yourself using them time and time again!

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
One of my favorite things to do with Cover Plate dies that are done in this style is to dig out my Copics. I die-cut the sunflower from white cardstock and then impressed it into a second piece of white cardstock using an embossing mat.
I decided to color the actual die cut sunflower in darker tones and then the embossed areas on the second layer in lighter colors. The contrast really creates a beautiful look, and it's easy to do too.
This little sentiment from Phrases & Praises tucked in nicely onto the left, stamped in black ink.
You could also change up the colors on this for more options, like Autumn Rose, Pure Poppy or even Aqua Mist!
My second card is really simple as well, something I seem to gravitate towards more and more lately!
I die-cut the sunflower from Summer Sunrise cardstock, trimmed it out and adhered it to more Summer Sunrise cardstock. I then used a sponge to apply some Canyon Clay ink to the center of the flower, just to highlight the detail of it and create some balance.
I added another one of the gorgeous sentiments from Phrases & Praises, this time inking half of it with Canyon Clay and half with Terracotta Tile, blending them slightly in the middle for this pretty ombre look.
