Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
For my first project, I could hardly wait to pull out the Cover Plate: Winter Florals die. I really wanted to add some color to it and I opted to use Copics.
After die-cutting the plate, I left all the interior pieces in place rather than popping them out, and this made it a bit easier to color everything.
The frame was added to a Soft Stone card base which was heat embossed with the sentiment from Christmas Cheer.
I can imagine doing this in all sorts of color schemes, and you could definitely swap out the sentiment for a general winter card. Gorgeous for birthdays!
Next up is a creation using the amaryllis image from the new Botanical Blocks III set.
I stamped it in black and used Copics again. The new open dies that coordinate with all of the Botanicals sets are such a great tool. After I was done coloring, I just centered the die over the image and ran it through.
The sentiment I used on this card is from Cup of Cheer.
Everything is adhered to a Pure Poppy card base to help make the flowers pop!
Of course I had to use the second image in the set, the anemone. I opted for Copics again, but this time on Kraft for a completely different look and feel.
I stamped the image onto the Kraft using Fresh Snow ink and let it dry for just a couple minutes before coloring.
The sentiment was heat embossed onto a strip of Tropical Teal cardstock and adhered across the front with foam tape for dimension.
Easy design that only takes minutes to make!
For my last card I got to use the gorgeous new Spruce & Sprigs set! It is so detailed you can easily create stunning projects in no time at all! I stamped an entire background in Melon Berry, Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado. Then I went back in with Soft Stone to add "shadows" for the images.
I die-cut the center of the card front with the new Botanical Blocks Basics die so I could pop it up with foam tape. The sentiment, from Treetops Glisten, was added in Charcoal Palette ink. I added a few strips of the Silver Foil Adhesive Sheet around the edge for a bit of shine.
