Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
There is just something about glitter that says "holidays", so I thought it would be fun to pair up the new Enclosed: Bell dies with some bright and festive red glitter!
I die-cut the bell from Pure Poppy cardstock then adhered red glitter onto it, setting it aside a few minutes to dry.
Two holly images were die-cut, one from Limeade Ice and the other from Simply Chartreuse. I stamped them with the coordinating image in Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado ink respectively. Pearls were added to the berry portion of the die-cut for dimension.
A strip of Soft Stone striped paper was added to the top of the card front to help ground the bell. A bit of baker's twine was also tied around the top. Not only is this glittered bell great on a card, I bet they would make AMAZING gift tags too!
The new Enclosed: Bell collection definitely does not need to be limited to holiday projects! Dawn cleverly added a wedding sentiment too, making it a wonderful when creating greetings for the new couple!
I die-cut the bell frame three times from white cardstock and adhered them together for dimension. The companion sentiments were added in Charcoal Palette ink.
In the upper corner I stamped several floral images from The Best is Yet To Be using Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush and Spring Moss. A few adhesive pearls were added as well.
I used the bow from Deck the Halls to embellish the top of the bell. IT was die-cut from Aqua Mist cardstock and stamped with the coordinating image in the same. I will be definitely getting a lot of mileage out of this set!
For those of you who like to keep your holiday projects super simple with few layers or embellishments for easy mailing, this one is for you!
I inked the wreath stamp from Deck the Halls in Simply Chartreuse and then rolled the edges in Ripe Avocado. There is so much beautiful detail in this image, the darker color helps to highlight that! I added the berry sprigs in Autumn Rose followed by some Liquid Pearls. What I love about those is that they reflect the color they are put upon, so they almost take on an Autumn Rose look.
The sentiment, also from the Deck the Halls set, is added in True Black.
The die-cut bow finishes the project off. Everything is mounted onto a Soft Stone card base. Quick and easy to mail!
It's no secret, I love Perfect Pearls and I knew they would be a good pair with the Deck the Halls set! I stamped the wreath, sentiment and stars in Perfect Medium. Then brushed copper Perfect Pearls over the wreath and sentiment and sunflower over the stars (from Christmas Cheer).
You can see more about this technique in this Make It Monday video I did a couple years ago:
It is really easy, not to mention great for adding shimmer and shine with very little effort! Perfect Pearls can be found in the store HERE.
After applying the Perfect Pearls, I stitched some copper seed beads in place where the berry sprigs would normally be stamped.
To help add balance to the wreath, I punched two 1/8" holes and threaded gold floss though them repeatedly finishing it off with a knot. This helped tie in the gold color from the stars as well.
I used a gold paint pen to add emphasis to the edge of the card front.
For this last card I got out my Zig Clean Color markers to do a little watercoloring.
this sentiment from Keep It Simple: Surgery is just the thing when someone is recovering from an injury or medical procedure. I heat embossed it in white onto a strip of Simply Chartreuse cardstock.
