Now you are in for a real treat! Tim Gunn always says that accessories can make or break an outfit, so here's your chance to create your own wearable art! Just think, you can make things to accent all of your favorite outfits!
Do you remember this peek at Project Runway, Season 12, Episode 2? There were MILLIONS of dollars worth of diamonds and jewels brought in and the designers had to create a look inspired by them, totally letting the accessories take center stage! SO fun!
Perhaps that will help inspire your next few projects!
These designers will be showing you how to use your favorite paper crafting supplies to create your very own wearable accessories. Not only can you customize these to suit your personal style and taste, they also make wonderful inexpensive gifts!
Erin Lincoln says, "For this tutorial, I create a necklace using the Tri-Flower Necklace Base and Petal Stitch Die Collection and the rest of your necklace making supplies from the 2015 Stamp-a-Faire kit (no longer available as it was a limited edition purchase several weeks ago).
Originality comes into play when you use flower and leaf dies from your own craft collection on your statement piece. Further variation is possible with individual beading and stitching choices. The end result will be a fashion forward original that you can wear with your favorite outfits all the way through spring. Have a blast and I'm looking forward to seeing your creations when you finish. Be sure to post for us all to gush and swoon."
Even if you did not purchase our SAF kit this year, take a look at other dies in your stash and see if you can "make it work!".
Erin divided her tutorial into two videos. The first covers creating the base of the necklace!
Next up is a tutorial on how to beautifully embellish the necklace base. The sky is the limit here!!! Enjoy the process!
