Balloons are one of those iconic images that just never go out of style. They're perfect for parties of all sorts and can be used for a wide variety of occasions and celebrations. Today, we're showcasing these festive beauties and are sharing a host of ideas for how to use them on your next paper crafted project!
We are so excited about this new shaker shape! Create balloons that have a built-in shaker feature. Fill them with all sorts of fun options. Great for tags or bag fronts too!

Tucked In: Birthday is the fifth in a monthly series of stamp sets designed to give you options for sentiments to stamp on the inside of cards. Whether you don’t know what to write in your card, or you just love the professional, finished look of a stamped sentiment on the inside, the Tucked In series is just what you need to take the guess-work out of what to put in your cards! The Tucked In series focuses on sentiments for different occasions each month so you’ll want to be sure to collect them all!

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
This new cover plate from Lizzie opens up so many design possibilities! I was excited to get the chance to play around with it!
I impressed the cover plate into a white card front to use as guidelines for coloring. I scribbled over each of the shapes with a whole rainbow of Copic markers.
I then cut the plate from Smokey Shadow cardstock and adhered it over the colored areas. I love this effect and it was much easier than placing individual colored pieces back into each opening.
I heat embossed a sentiment from Good Times with Black Filigree Embossing Powder.
The perfectly placed balloon strings that are incorporated into the cover plate make it so easy to just add balloons and be done! I used the Birthday Style balloon die here with a variety of papers.
You could easily swap out the colors you used on this to suit any recipient!
Lizzie also designed some great new Balloon Strings dies. I wanted to show how you could use any old circle punch with them to create your own balloons.
Of course, someone needed to hold the balloons, and I thought Foxy would do just the trick! I stamped him in Noir Black Palette ink and colored him with Copic markers. Two small enamel dots were the perfect thing for his eyes.
I cut the balloon strings from white cardstock and adhered them in a bunch, also adding the bow. I used a 1-3/8" circle punch with various cardstock to create the actual balloons.
One section of the new Cover Plate: Waves die serves as the grassy hill here. I stamped it with a sentiment from Hooray, using Ripe Avocado ink.
