- Noted contains a total of 13 images. The chevron background image is 6” wide and is just over 1 1/2” tall. The “hello” word is 1 1/4” tall and is just under 2 1/2” wide. The largest heart image is just over 5/8” tall and just over 1/2” wide.
- A coordinating die will be available for sale separately, retailing for $3. This die measures 2-1/2" x 1-1/4".
Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
My first project uses one of Maile's new Sentiment Splits dies. I just love how quick and easy it is to get this effect, and I know the sentiment will fit within the opening perfectly every time with no guesswork or measuring! I cut the largest Sentiment Splits: Angle Vertical from Tropical Teal cardstock and then edged the pieces with a gold paint pen using a ruler as a guide.
The new Brushed Blooms dies are cut from Raspberry Fizz and New Leaf cardstocks. I stamped the flowers with the coordinating shading images using Pure Poppy ink and accented with dots from a white gel pen. The leaves were stamped with Pinefeather and also accented with a white gel pen.
The sentiment tucks in nicely right in between the two pieces, stamped in True Black directly onto the white card base.
The Sentiment Splits pieces were adhered with foam tape so there is more emphasis on the layers.
My next project uses the new Brushed Blooms exclusively. This set makes it so easy to create a beautiful watercolored look. I couldn't help but dream of even more color combinations!
I stamped the leaves in Limeade Ice and Simply Chartreuse. The large blooms are done in Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz. The smaller flowers in Hawaiian Shores. And here's a little tip. To get more of a soft watercolor look without havign to add water, stamp repeatedly without re-inking.
The sentiment was stamped in the center in True Black ink and this is balanced with a few wraps of gold thread that is finished with a bow.
Next up is Heather's fantastic new Noted set. The huge chevron border looks stunning when you ink it in an ombre effect. Here I used Hawaiian Shores and Blueberry Sky.
The "Hello" was die-cut from white cardstock and colored with a copic marker and then covered with Prisma Glitter.
You may have noticed the pretty envelope in the background. I edges the envelope with a copic marker using a ruler. Then followed up with 1/8" Scor-tape and Prisma Glitter. The end result is an amazing envelope that looks very expensive and will certainly impress the recipient!
My next three cards are the results of having 30 minutes until dinner would be ready last night and challenging myself to use all three of the new You've Been Framed sets within that remaining time. I'm pleased to say that because of Betsy's awesome new collection, I was able to get them all done, taking a mere ten minutes each! This is a birthday card that uses the Oval set.
The center oval is die-cut from white and then stamped with the coordinating images.
Spring Rain striped paper was die-cut and used at the top and the bottom. Tip: when placing the pieces, go ahead and use the frame as a guide for placement, even if it won't be staying permanently.
Here's a Thinking of You version using You've Been Framed: Diamond.
The center was stamped in Aqua Mist and Berry Sorbet.
Aqua Mist Polka Dot Paper is added as an accent above and below the focal point.
One more for you! Who doesn't need a constant supply of thank you cards?
I stamped the focal point in Ornage Zest, Summer Sunrise and Ocean Tides. Summer Sunrise Striped cardstock is used as the accent.
