We've had a special little something up our sleeves that Betsy Veldman has been working on that we think you're going to be pretty excited about! You've loved her Make It Market kits over the last year (which will be continuing throughout 2015!), and now we're bringing you more.....mini versions! All of the details are below......
The new Make It Market Mini Kits are designed for those who love the idea of Betsy's popular kits, but are a bit more budget conscience. These small kits will range between $20 to $45 in price, making them affordable to everyone.
As another perk, these new kits will NOT be limited edition, they will be a regular item carried in our store. Similar to the boxed kits we sold during last year's Stamp-a-faire event, the Make It Market Mini Kits will be packed in a clear stamp box and usually include a mini stamp set, a few dies, some patterned papers and an embellishment or two. These will be released throughout the year randomly, not on a set schedule, so it will be a surprise each month as to whether or not there will be a new one to collect!
Now a little bit more of the Make It Market Mini Kit being released this month, Lovely Laurels!
Oh, how lovely! The Make It Market Mini: Lovely Laurels Kit is designed to help you create beautiful cards and tags for many different occasions. The unique pop-up wreath die will allow you to add dimension to your projects without the bulk. The kit comes complete with a mini stamp set, coordinating dies, patterned papers, an assortment of flower and leaf sequins, and a few lovely trims. Everything you need to create lovely cards…all in one package!
The Lovely Laurels Kit includes:
- Lovely Laurels mini stamp set

This sweet little mini set has everything you need to accent the delicate wreath, from flowers to berries, birds to bows, the possibilities are truly endless.
Here's a few measurement references. The wreath image measures just over 2 ½” wide and 2” tall. The bow measures 1 ½” wide and just over ½” high. The “on your anniversary” sentiment measures just over 1 ½” wide and 1/8” tall.
The coordinating dies take the versatility to a whole new level! The wreath does not cut at the ends featured at the top and bottom, allowing you to "fold" the leaves forward for texture. It's always nice to have dies for all the other shapes in your stamp set as well.
The patterned paper collection for this kit is just plain fabulous! It's printed on our signature linen paper for a sophisticated look.
The papers coordinate well with Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Harvest Gold, Spring Moss, Soft Stone and Smokey Shadow.
The detail Betsy has incorporated is just amazing and such a treat to work with.
The linen texture paired with the color saturation is gorgeous!
Pre-printed details like this that allow you to just cut and go make life so easy!
This pink burlap string is the perfect accessory for the kit, adding not only texture but a pop of color just where you need it.
The leaf trim is an amazing value, especially when you start talking about trimming off the individual leaves and adding them as accents to your stamped wreath!
The selection of sequins is just dreamy! They will have you so inspired! Layer the unique sequin leaves around a wreath, accent a sentiment with floral and leaf clusters. The sky is the limit!

In honor of Betsy's new Make It Market Mini Kit, Lovely Laurels, we are hosting a Scavenger "Bird" Hunt and you are all invited! Your challenge is to visit each of team member's blogs and locate the main photo of their "Bird Hunt" project, which will be marked with the official Bird Hunt logo. Search each of the ten photos for a small bird that looks like this:
DO NOT count birds that are part of the project or stamped. Only the gray bird images like the one above will be included in the final count. Be forewarned that some photos may not have any birds hidden within them and others may feature as many as three! Use the sheet below to keep track of your progress. Once completed, calculate your final grand total and add your official entry to the comments section of this post!
