Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
I ran across these older photos a few weeks ago and knew I wanted to pull them out and use them with the amazing January Monthly Moments products! They were a perfect fit!
Scenic photos, like this one above, are so fun to use as title blocks. I die-cut the "january" from white cardstock and adhered it in place. I then was able to die-cut a Summer Sunrise star using the Star Gazer dies and tie it in place with a little white thread.
Underneath that I added a small label from Simply Framed, stamped in Ocean Tides.
The block next door to that is one of the stunning pages from the journal card pad. I didn't have to do much with it since it was already printed with this beautiful pattern that I didn't want to cover up!
I did add a strip of Summer Sunrise striped paper followed by an orange baker's twine accent. I punched a circle out of one of the printed journal cards and stamped it with this sentiment from A Few Pointers using Smokey Shadow ink. An Ocean Tides button finishes it off.
This journaling block is another one of the great ones from this month's journal card pad.
I accented the corner of this journaling block with a map image from Summer Camp, added in Aqua Mist ink. "Field notes" was added from the same set in Smokey Shadow, while the snowflake details are from Monthly Moments: January in Summer Sunrise.
For the next pocket I used a photo of my mother sledding with Owen for the first time.
I made this little clip using the Memory Clips die with one of our coasters and Summer Sunrise cardstock. I stamped it with Clip Tips to finish it off. It clips nicely right onto the pocket of the page protector.
I die-cut through the photo for something different, then placed the stamped speech bubble behind it.
This star patterned journal card from the new pad is one of my favorites! I created this litle banner with another little scrap from the collection. I stamped it with an arrow and phrse from Simply Framed. I then added some notes in my own handwriting and stamped a sledding phrase from Monthly Moments: Janaury.
I just love this photo of Owen! It's hard to believe how much he has grown since then!
I accented the side of the photo with this adorable "Frozen" checklist image. It's heat embossed onto Smokey Shadow cardstock. I created a label by stamping the frame from Summer Camp onto one of the polka-dotted journal cards for this month and then cutting it out. This is accented with some Type Strips II letters stamped in Orange Zest.
For the last block I used another one of the pre-orinted journal cards as the back drop.
"Winter" was die-cut using the Block Alphabet dies.. I added a banner underneath which is stamped with another one of the great sentiments from Monthly Moments: January. Three Small Sketched Stars die-cut from Summer Sunrise felt accent the focal point.
Now that you have seen a few of my creations, here are some of the amazing things that the team has created!
Ashley says, "The start of a new year, January brings a fresh new take on life. There's nothing better than snow that can bring that fresh start to life. To capture Lauren's first time "in" the snow, we snapped a few photos to document this exciting time for her. Check out how I used the color combination in this month's journal card collection and combined it with pops of colors from the photos to pull it all together."
