Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
I'll admit, I actually have a favorite die from this collection and it's this one! The detail in it turned out even better than I expected when I was designing these products!
Note thate these are actually connected letters to spell out the word "Hugs", but to change things up a bit I cut them apart and stacked the letters.
Underneath those I heat embossed one of the companion sentiments with White Filigree Embossing Powder.
I watercolored over the embossed sentiment, using an emboss resist technique, with ink refills (Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest and Hibiscus Burst). So easy to create but really has a lot of impact!
For my next project I wanted to incorporate one of the fun "sending" banners from this stamp set.
The "Hugs" was stamped first, then the companion sentiment underneath that in True Black. The banner was stamped onto a separate sheet and then trimmed out with scissors. Foam tape was used to adhere the banner to help add dimension.
I pulled out an old favorite, Garden Grace, to embellish the corners.
The corners of the card front were notched with a circle punch, then the whole piece was adhered to a Tropical Teal card base.
My next project is super simple and really can be used for SO many occasions.
I stamped one of the large script "hugs" at an angle, working from darkest to lightest ink to create an ombre effect. You could really do this with any of the hugs stamps! This was then impressed with our Linen & Canvas impression plate.
The cover was trimmed to remove a strip of it so that it could frame the sentiment added to the white card base underneath.
I used the Cover Plate: Hearts to cut out a heart from Pure Poppy cardstock and accented it with Glossy Accents.
Now for a little soemthing that can be used for either a male or female recipient. I added these stripes of cardstock to the cover, leaving a small amount of space between them using Canyon Clay, Simply Chartreuse and Ocean Tides.
This "hugs" was die-cut from cork and adhered right over the stripes.
I trimmed the stipes in such a way that a second piece of each color could be added underneath the sentiment. Super easy! Now that you have seen a few of my creations, here are some of the amazing things that the team has created!
