Today is all about October and November and the wonderful things that come with those months.....trick-or-treating, delicious sweet treats, hayrides, carving pumpkins and counting our blessings. Whether you have Halloween treats to whip up, special birthdays to celebrate or Thanksgiving cards to help spread some gratitude, we've got the products to help you do so in style.
Monthly Moments: October is the ninth in a series of stamp sets and other coordinating products that are designed to use with scrapbook projects so you can create, preserve, and share your memories or special events and everyday moments. Don’t just limit yourself to scrap booking with this series as it will be wonderful for card making and other paper crafting projects as well. The stamp set has great accents for Halloween and other fall favorites! (note that the ticket image coordinates with the Just the Ticket die).

We are excited to introduce the Monthly Moments: October Journal Card Pad! This collection of journal cards is printed on high quality linen cardstock, making your layouts look polished and professional.
A total of 30 (4x6) sheets are included, two each of 15 designs. The pad of cards is gummed together on one side and provides easy, seamless removal. Features our signature wrap around cover to help keep all of the cards together for storage while also providing a labeled spine for easy reference.

Birthday Classics: November is the tenth set in a monthly series that features a gorgeously unique birthday sentiment as well as birthday sentiment building options, with each set focusing on a specific month! Finally, you can create birthday sentiments specific to each recipient’s birth month! Custom birthday cards just got more fun than ever! You’ll want to be sure to collect them all to create cards for anyone on your birthday calendar!

- Birthday Classics: November contains a total of 8 images. The “So thankful for you…” sentiment measures 1-3/4” x 1-3/8”. The “November” sentiment measures 2" x 3/8". The “banner” image measures 3/4” x 9/16”.
Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
To me, November is all about cozy sweaters and sipping tea from warm mugs. The new Birthday Classics: November set inspired me to pull out the previously released Background Basics: Striped Sweater set to cheive that warm and cozy look on my card!
I used a variety of ink colors with the striped stamp from the set. Fromt he bottom up I used Summer Sunrise, Fine Linen, Canyon Clay, Classic Kraft, Ocean Tides, Spring Moss and Aqua Mist.
After I was done with this stamping, I ran the card front through my die machine with the Aida Impression Plate to add some interesting texture.
I cut this tag using the Basic Bookmark 1 die and Classic Kraft cardstock. The sentiment was heat embossed with White Filigree Embossing Powder.
I die-cut the top of the tag and the card front with a Stitching Lines die and then added stitches using white crochet thread.
The ends of the crochet thread are knotted and left extending off the edges to help break up the straight lines.
I pulled out another old favorite for my next card, Solid Stitches & Swirls. I love using this set even without the coordinating stitches set and I thought it was a great complement to this project.
The flowers were stamped using a combination of Autumn Rose, Sweet Blush, Spring Moss, Harvest Gold and Canyon Clay.
I prepped my die-cutting machine with the proper sandwich for embossing and put the rubber embossing mat onto the platform first. I then placed the plain Limitless Layers: 2-1/4" die over the center of the card front, followed by the Picnic Plaid impression plate. All of this was put onto the platform on top of the rubber mat and run through. The results are this nice square, flat area to add my sentiment. The sentiment was added with Dark Chocolate ink and accented with the small banner image, also included in Birthday Classics: November.
Everything was adhered onto a Rustic White card base.
I was excited to pull out some older pictures from an October 2012 trip to Maine to visit my family and pair it up with the new Monthly Moments: October products.
We spent lots of time with grandparents from both sides of my family. This block features a few of my favorite photos of the kids interacting with them. I used a new banner die that is included with the Jar Bonnet die collection (more about this later in the week) and stamped with a coordinating plaid banner stamp in Canyon Clay. Some small stars were die-cut from Summer Sunrise cardstock using one of the Star Gazer dies. They were all stitched in place with a bit of floss.
This photo of David and Ethan takes center stage on the next journal card. I added lines using the Journal Accessories set and Summer Sunrise ink.
The label frame from Label Basics was added in Soft Stone and then this adorable little pumkins from Monthly Moments: October was stamped inside it using Canyon Clay and Ripe Avocado. The sentiment was added from Monthly Moments: Slide Frame.
Owen loved playing with my parents dog, Emma while we were there. It seemed appropriate to add the "M" monogram to represent the fact that the vacation was in Maine.
I used this pretty journal card from the October Journal Card Pad as the background. It was die-cut with the new Cross Stitch Alphabet die and stitched up in with three different floss colors to acheive an ombre look.
I used one of the frames from Delicate Details die collection here, cut from Classic Kraft cardstock and adhered to another one of the fabulous cards from the Journal Card Pad this month. I stamped the pumpkins circle from Monthly Moments: October in Summer Sunrise and punched it out. I accented it with a few tiney stars from O'Tannenbaum using Canyon Clay.
I love this photo of David chatting with my granfather on his front porch and just had to include it. Above the photo I stamped another label frame from Label Basics in Summer Sunrise. The arrow, from Monthly Moments: October, is added in Canyon Clay. The little quote is from Mini Scrapbooking Series: Journaling Circle.
This stunning covered bridge is near my grandparents home and I made David pull over on the side of the road so that I could shoot this photo! It is amazing with the autumn colors around it!
I added the "October" die-cut in Canyone Clay. The Just the Ticket Border die coordinates with this ticket stamp in the October set, which I added in Summer Sunrise. A sprinkling of a few more stars finishes the card off.
