Stamp-a-faire 2014 Memories...and Winners!

Well, it's hard to believe another worldwide online Stamp-a-faire event has come and gone!  And what a whirlwind it was!  I think everyone enjoyed getting to travel through time and exploring the unique aspects of each of the eras!  One of the highlights was definitely the Spotify playlists and the amazing Pinterest boards!

I have put together a few of the photos that you all submitted to us in the form of a short slideshow.  It looks like everyone had an absolute blast!  You made loads of cards to add to your stash too!  I love seeing all of your smiles, it's something that really makes this event worthwhile. When you stop to think, it is pretty amazing that so many people can come together because of the love of this hobby!  Enjoy!

August 2014 Blog Hop

Today we are excited to present the BIG monthly Blog Hop that Papertrey Ink hosts for all of its talented customers to show off their skills! The Blog Hop is an ALL DAY EVENT!  An Inlinkz list is posted below and you can add your link anytime up until 11:30pm EST.  And don't worry if you didn't get a chance to make a project and play along, there is a contest for non-participants as well over in our forum in the designated thread. I look forward to seeing all of your creativity!

A day dedicated to seeking inspiration through projects utilizing Papertrey Ink products.   This event allows all of our customers who enjoy sharing inspiration & artwork with their peers do so through their personal blogs.

I just love this trendy stationery from Kate Spade!  There are just so many things I am inspired about here!

• Create a bold border around postcard-style stationery using the chisel tip of a marker.
• Gold embossed polka dots!  Need I say more?
• Allow a simple sentiment take center stage when gold embossed onto a crisp white card.
• Keep your color scheme simple with white and a splash of something bold, like Raspberry Fizz.
• Don't forget your envelopes!  Create a fun and festive envelope liner for your card.

I am sure that many of you will come up with even more ideas!  Take a piece of this inspiration (or others you have discovered), and create something fabulous!  We look forward to seeing all of your creations!

EDITED TO ADD RANDOMLY SELECTED WINNERS:

Kristie H kept things clean and simple her gold embossed creation!  I love how the detail of this frame pops with the embossing and the scored border she created was the perfect finishing touch!

Diana K created this pink and gold beauty to perfection.  I love how she heat embossed the second step of the feather stamps in gold.  Just such a nice touch!

Martha made this adorable tag and matching pocket to tuck it into.  The gold embossed bow on the pocket is just to die for!  And I love the polka dots that carry from the tag to the lining of the pocket!

SAF 2014: Closing Ceremony

All good things have to come to a close and this post is our official "wrap-up" for the night.  We hope that all of you have enjoyed the festivities today!

SAF 2014: Time After Time Challenge

All of us have a stamping history, a story of how we got started in this hobby. Whether it was a friend that introduced you to ink for the first time, a home stamping party or maybe even just a bit of self-discovery, we all started somewhere and we have most likely evolved.  I asked the design team to dig into their stamping histories and dig out some of their very early projects.  Then they used these projects as inspiration for new cards that better communicate who they are as stampers now.  Just wait until you see all they have done!  There is so much that we can all learn from them and improve our own projects!

Take this opportunity to reflect back on what this hobby has done for you and all the beautiful things you have made with your two hands and your heart!  Dig into your stash and find one of your early creations.  Utilize many of the same elements, colors or even the design to create a new card that embraces your current style.  Enjoy the process and be proud of how far you have come!
