Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

My first layout is all about celebrating the simple little joys of summer and our first few weeks of enjoying school break!
Our *little girls* and rooster are getting so big! For this card I cropped two photos together to form a 3x4 card to mount onto the 4x6 white cardstock layer. Behind the photo I added a strip of this summer sunshine paper from the Monthly Moments: June Journal Card Pad.
>>>TIP: This particular pattern only covers a 3x4 area in the paper pad. To make it stretch the full 6" I needed for the larger card I cut it in half and allowed the split to be hidden behind the photo.
I die-cut the new Monthly Moments: Tabbed from white cardstock and stamped the main portion with the coordinating image in Terracotta Tile. The words were stamped onto a scrap of white cardstock and trimmed down to a small rectangle. I just LOVE the way this little tab dresses up a photo! So quick and easy and great for breaking up all the straight lines.
One of the things I love about summer is sharing the bounty from our mini farm. Our first basket of goodies was put together for a dear family friend, lots of fresh beets, butterhead lettuce, summer squash and cukes, not to mention fresh eggs from the ladies and homemade strawberry jam.
I accented the photo with a small strip of patterned paper from the Monthly Moments: June paper pad and I die-cut arrow using the Teepee Time dies. I stamped the top of the mini banner with a phrase from Monthly Moments: Tabbed and added my journaling below with a black pen.
This fun polka dot card is one of my absolute favorites from the new pad. It was die-cut with the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 1 die. I was able to add these sleek and simple border to the top using one of the new Journal Card Borders dies in Pure Poppy cardstock.
The Monthly Moments: June die was cut from both Summer Sunrise cardstock and two layers of coaster board. I adhered them all together and stamped the top with the coordinating stamp in Orange Zest. Underneath I added the year using the Polka Dot PArade Numbers in white cardstock.
Hannah & her bestie have enjoyed getting to spend more time together now that school is out. I accented this photo with a few scraps of white cardstock stamped with phrases from Monthly Moments: Tabbed and Monthly Moments: June. Note the little *stars* I stamped on either side of "today". They are included in Monthly Moments: June and I just love 'em! They add the perfect emphasis to words and phrases without being too much. I also added a triple layered Sketched Star die-cut, with all three layers being cut from Pure Poppy cardstock.
This rainbow card from the pad is SO amazing and it added just the right pop of color to my overall layout! And check out that lovely linen texture! Totally swoon worthy!
The boys got to attend a week long lego camp at the school the first week of June and they had an absolute blast! They got to build things and animate them after their creations were wired up to special laptops! Sometimes I wish I could be a kid again just so I could attend things like this! I used the new Monthly Moments: Journal Card 4 die as a base for this. The snapshot label from Simply Framed was stamped in Pure Poppy . Many of the words from Monthly Moments: Tabbed tuck nicely into the labels in this set, like I did here. And yes, there's those little stars again!
>>>TIP: If your photo is too wide to fit where you would like it to, don't be afraid to crop it in half, especially if the important bits happen to be on either end of the photo like it was for me here.
Don't you just love how Heather designed these new journaling cards to have a tab that extends above the pocket? It adds so much visual interest and helps break up the standard grid a bit! I accented the tab by stamping the rounded rectangle from Monthly Moments: Tabbed in Terracotta Tile then layering die-cut Polka Dot Parade Alphabet monograms in Summer Sunrise cardstock. A little arrow from Teepee Time was also added in underneath to help tie in the Spring Rain from the color scheme.
>>>TIP: All lot of the *spaces* we have to fill-up on Monthly Moments pages ae quite small. Monograms are a great way to add a little something without requiring a lot of space.
Our vegetable garden is doing amazing this year thanks to perfect amounts of sunshine and rain. I added a trimmed paper label from the Monthly Moments: June Journal Card Pad to the corner of this garden ohoto. I stamped "We did this" from Monthly Moments: Tabbed in Pure Poppy ink and then added a bit of handwriting in black pen.
>>>TIP: You don't always have to use the full journal card pages as is. Have fun cutting them up and using the bits and pieces on your layouts.
The main journaling card is made from a 4x6 piece of white cardstock. I turned a 3x4 card from the journal card pad sideways and stapled it to the white base. I stamped the adorable "Snapshots of Summer" frame in black at the edge of the card and added the camera to the center.
>>>TIP: This is a great way to adapt 3x4 cards to 4x6 pockets.
The title, from Monthly Moments: June, was stamped at the top of the card in True Black ink...and yes, I added the little stars again. I can't resist! The linen texture of the cards stamps beautifully! My journaling was added underneath in black pen.

My next double layout celebrates a recent family camping trip we took to Edisto Beach State Park on the coast of South Carolina. We had such a wonderful time and made so many memories, it brought me joy all over again to be able to go through my photos and commemorate this special vacation.

I always use Instagram a lot when we travel and this particular layout allowed me to use several of those 4" square prints quickly and easily.
These are two of my favorite photos in the left corner. Hannah in front of me as we paddled through the sound on our kayak for two. David and Owen talking man to man and laughing on the beach at sunset, and showing how Owen is growing up and almost the same size as David!
All three boys kayaked together a few times during our trip. Little Ethan had it easy and didn't have to paddle!
I accented the corner of this photo with a label from Simply Framed stamped in Summer Sunrise. I then added "fun in the sun" and the anchor from Monthly Moments: June. This was mounted onto a layer of coaster board for dimension and adhered to the front of the page protector. I added a Button Stacks shape die-cut from one of the papers from the Monthly Moments: June Jounral Card pad.
>>>TIP: If you have a bulkier embellishment, don't be afraid to adhere to the page protector. It helps keep everything more flat and won't warp your photo over time. I like to use Glossy Accents or Scor-tape to adhere things like this in place.
We made yummy s'mores almost every night we were camping, and the kids definitely looked forward to it.
I accented this s'mores closeup with a few bits and pieces from the Monthly Moments: June Journal pad, adding a little handwriting to the mix as well. A stapler helped to hold everything securely in place.
The journaling card next door comes right from the journal card pad as well. For the "Beach" title at the top I die-cut Smooth Alphabet letters from Summer Sunrise cardstock and stamped them with a reverse polka dot strip found in Monthly Moments: June using Orange Zest ink. The sweet little stars from the same set were added underneath the title in a trio stamped in Pure Poppy.
A few more cards from the journal card pad fill the next two pockets. We kayaked out to what the locals call Shell Island one day and had the gorgeous vista to ourselves. I loved watching all three kids exploring the beaches together. The sweet bucket card is another one of my favorites from the pad, it really expresses our sentiments exactly!
I accented the Shell Island photot with a die-cut Circle Scribbles shape in Pure Poppy cardstock. I trimmed a small square of wood veneer to add to its center and stamped it with a tiny sentiment from Simply Framed.
We made homemade peach ice cream one lazy afternoon and all three kids helped to crank our old White Mountain Freezer. These photos were accented with the stamped polka dot arrow from Monthly Moments: June and a Pure Poppy strip stamped with "memories" from Phrase Play #5. I also added another die-cut arrow from the Teepee Time die.
This "wave" patterned card from the Monthly Moments: June Journal Card Pad is STUNNING! And it was the perfect place to add the new Seasonal Stitching: Seashells shape.
I die-cut it from white cardstock and stitched it in place with white embroidery floss. I just love all the detail that Erin incorporated into this! It reminds me so much of the single whole sand dollar we found on the beach during our trip!
(click on the photo above to enlarge)
The second page uses a mix of 4x6 and 3x4 pockets, so it was super easy to use more of the Monthly Moments: June Journal Card Pad.
The last day we were there the weather was perfect with a bright blu sky. I couldn't resist snapping this shot of Ethan and Hannah on our last walk to the beach with the palm trees draping overhead. I split the large photo between two pockets for a cool look.
>>>TIP: This is a great way to utilize a 5x7 photo on a page with 4x6 pockets. Just trim your 4x6 white cards to size, cut the photo in half and adhered each half on the appropriate card. The white frame really allows the photo to pop!
On the upper portion of the photo I added a die-cut "Happy" using the new Wet Paint Cuts and white cardstock. The "summer" block was trimmed from a journaling card in this month's journaling pad.
Next to this I added a journaling block and a sweet photo of Ethan "hearing the ocean" inside a seashell he found.
I used Monthly Moments: Tabbed to add this accent to the top corner of the journaling card. I die-cut it from white cardstock, stamped it in Orange Zest and then added the phrase in True Black. The little star, also in Monthly Moments: Tabbed, was added in Pure Poppy.
One of the highlights of the trip for Owen was learning how to skim board. He had a blast practicing and improving the more that he did it.
The side of the photo was accented with a few different bits and pieces. I stamped "noted" (from Simply Framed) in Orange Zest onto Summer Sunrise cardstock and trimmed it out. The "@" from Clip Tips was heat embossed onto Pure Poppy cardstock and punched out. I added anothe rpieces of wood veneer and stamped it with another small sentiment from Simply Framed.
>>>TIP: Don't be afraid to write directly on your photos. It adds a wonderful look and is quick & easy to do!
Ethan cracks us up all the time with his signature "Home Alone" face, which he did here when we were all taking turns cranking the peach ice cream.
Another label from Simply Framed was stamped in Orange Zest ink. A small heart from Monthly Moments: Tabbed accents the handwritten notes I added in black pen. I stapled this in place.
Next to that is more of the gorgeous polka dot paper from the Monthly Moments: June pad. I added another die-cut Circle Scribbles shape in Pure Poppy and accented it with a Button Stack shape.
