Birthday Classics: July is the sixth set in a monthly series by Dawn McVey that features a gorgeously unique birthday sentiment as well as birthday sentiment building options, with each set focusing on a specific month! Finally, you can create birthday sentiments specific to each recipient’s birth month! Custom birthday cards just got more fun than ever! You’ll want to be sure to collect them all to create cards for anyone on your birthday calendar!

Keep It Simple: Wedding is the fifth in a series of stamp sets allowing you to build a collection of basic, medium-sized sentiments, in a nice variety of fonts, that you can turn to again and again. With this edition we are focusing on "wedding". The font choices will cover everything from modern to elegant.

After many customer requests, we are now bringing you Wet Paint Cuts. While they do not perfectly coordinate with the stamps found in the first Wet Paint set because the letters have been joined into one continuous word, they are the same scale and font. These should offer you all kinds of new design opportunities!

- PLEASE NOTE: These dies do NOT coordinate with the main words in the original Wet Paint stamp set. The letters were moved slightly closer together in some cases to create words that would cut in a single piece.
These nested stitched rectangles give you several different sizes, from A2 down, to work into your projects. They will look beautiful with the holes left plain, but of course you can stitch them up with your favorite shades of embroidery floss or twine!

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
For my first project I pulled out Keep It Simple: Wedding and Friendly Flowers. They make a perfect pair!
I stamped the script from Background Basics: Text Style first with Charcoal Palette ink. I then added a few blooms from Friendly Flowers with VersaMark and heat embossed them with Clear Filigree Embossing Powder. A sponge loaded with Ocean Tides ink helped to bring the flowers to life. I added a few dots to the centers with a white gel pen.
I completed the card with the wedding sentiment stamped in True Black.
One of the wonderful things about the Friendly Flowers is that you can achieve so many different looks with just one set. These particular layered blooms remind me a bit of cherry blossoms!
I stamped the flowers in Sweet Blush and then added the centers with Melon Berry. A few dots added with Classic Kraft ink finished them off. The leaves are layered Fine Linen and Classic Kraft inks.
The sentiment, also from Friendly Flower, was stamped in Dark Chocolate.
My next card uses one of those fabulous new Stitched Rectangle dies!
I die-cut the second largest rectangle from Spring Rain gingham paper and stitched the perimeter with white crochet thread.
The various layers for the flowers and leaves were cut from white cardstock. The floral layers were stamped in Hibiscus Burst, the leaves in Simply Chartreuse.
The "Thank You" sentiment (from Thank You Kindly) was added to a white strip of cardstock using Simply Chartreuse ink. Totally loving the detail that the stitching adds!
Sometimes it is fun to use stamps a bit differently and here I have used one of the flower centers from Friendly Flowers as a repeating pattern.
I stamped the circle in Canyon Clay, Summer Sunrise and Hawaiian Shores and then added the sentiment in True Black.
For dimension I added large drops of Glossy Accents to the centers of each circle.
Everything was kept clean and simple with a white card base.
Glossy Accents is also amazing on the new Wet Paint Cuts! I started my project by adding the ombre stripes in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse and Limeade Ice.
I then die-cut the "thanks" die from Limeade Ice cardstock and loaded it up with the Glossy Accents, setting asid to let dry completely.
I stamped a companion sentiment from Thank You Kindly in True Black and then added the glossy "thanks" beside it.
I thought it would be fun to pull out the Copics for my next project!
I stamped this beautiful image from Thank You Kindly in Versafine Black ink and heat embossed it with Clear Filigree Embossing Powder. I then colored the image in with Copic markers.
Before adhering the focal point to the card base, I embossed it with one of the Stitched Rectangles. Just love the way this looks!
I have one last card for you today! A July birthday card using the new Birthday Classic: July set.
I stamped the main image in Orange Zest ink then added the smaller stars in Summer Sunrise and Limade Ice. I also added dots with a 2-way glue pen and applied Prisma Glitter. A very festive look, for sure!
