Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
My first project features this adorable little ballerina! Don't you just love her!
I die-cut her from white cardstock and then stamped it with the coordinating image in Noir Palette ink. I colored her tutu with Copic Markers in shades of purple and followed up with a Colorless Blender to add polka dots. I added a little shimmer to her skirt with a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.
Underneath the ballerina I added one of the new Delicate Details die-cut frames. I cut it from Winter Wisteria cardstock and coated it with Prisma Glitter. Love, love LOVE these accents! They just add such a touch of class!
The sentiment was added underneath in True Black ink.
You could of course use just about any color for the tutu, making it easy to customize it to a little girls favorite color!
For those of you that don't like to color, this little lady is also really easy to paper piece! I stamped her directly onto my Vintage Cream card front using Classic Kraft ink.
I die-cut the ballerina shape from Hibiscus Burst cardstock and then stamped it with the coordinating image in Raspberry Fizz. By just trimming off the leggs, arms and head, it was easy to be left with just the dress. The hair bow addition required just a few additional snips.
I stamped the sentiment in Dark Chocolate ink and framed it with a few die-cut leaves and flowers that are included in the set.
Everything is adhered to a Sweet Blush card base to finish!
Oopsie Daisy is a great floral set that you are just going to love! Just wait until you see some of my creations with it!
I die-cut two sizes of flower petals and stamped them in a variety of patterns using Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise and Simply Chartreuse. After adhering the petals in place I finished the centers with buttons in the same colors.
I added this friends sentiment from Wet Paint II in Simply Chartreuse ink. To help add emphasis to thecompanion sentiment so it didn't get lost in the background, I popped it up on its own strip of white cardstock.
Love the simplicity of this layout and can definitely see changing the colors up too!
Here is another gorgeous card using Oopsie Daisy! Always remember that you do not need to use a full flower, partial flowers like this wraped around something like this can become a wonderful accent! I started by heat embossing the Wet Paint III sentiment with White Filigree Embossing Powder onto the Classic Kraft cardstock.
I die-cut the petals from white cardstock and stamped them with different patterns in Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz and Orange Zest. After I adhered them in place I added a 1/4" punched circle of Pure Poppy cardstock to the center of the flower. I added a thick coat of Glossy Accents to make it dimensional.
A white gel pen helped me to add stitching around the preimeter of the Classic Kraft card front. It was then mounted onto a white card base.
This bright and colorful card kind of reminded me of some of the mod patterns that were popular in the 60's!
I stamped the outlined flowers that are included in Oopsie Daisy to create an overall pattern. I then "filled in" the flowers with the varioud petals. The flower center stamps wer layered in Summer Sunrise and Orange Zest to add some additional color contrast.
I added this smile sentiment from Wet Paint II in True Black and then carefully added a thick coat of Glossy Accents to add dimension.
A Tropical Teal card base finishes it off.
The new Background Basics: Venice is a real stunner and you are going to LOVE creating your own color combos with this!
I die-cut white cardstock with the Tipped Tops die and then stamped the background in Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf and Tropical Teal. Doesn't it look like patterned paper you would buy in the store?
I added the sentiment from Keep It Simple: Sympathy in Tropical Teal to match the angle of the Tipped Top.
A single flower and three leaves die-cut and stamped with Oopsie Daisy help to set it off from the background.
I tried something a little different on this project and double stamped one of the strips from Background Basics: Venice. Once in each color, then I flipped the card front upside down and stamped on top of the first impression in the appropriate colors.
It creates a whole new shape and pattern, which I love! The colors I selected give an ombre look, Scarlet Jewel, Autumn Rose and Sweet Blush.
I added the sympathy sentiment (Keep It Simple: Sympathy) in Dark Chocolate.
One last project for you today that uses dies only. The largest embellishment from Delicate Details die collection is just so details, it can practically stand alone!
I die-cut the scrolled mat three times from Berry Sorbet cardstock and adhered them together with a 2-way glue pen. The monogram was die-cut with the Bookprint Alphabet dies and three layers of white cardstock.
I love the dimension that is created by layering the die-cuts here. Just breathtaking, isn't it?!?!?
I opted to go with a trendy Enchanted Evening card base to finish the project off. I hope you have enjoyed all the creations that I have shared with you today!
