Now that me share a few projects I created using this gorgeous set!
For my first project I opted for a bright and cheery citrus color scheme.
The flowers in Ruby Reprise are geometric, making them easy and fun to layer. I stamped the large flowers in Hibiscus Burst, then a second time in Summer Sunrise on top with a slight rotation. I then added some of the smaller flowers in Raspberry Fizz and Orange Zest. I used a fine point pen to add dots to the center of each bloom.
The card felt a bit lacking, so I decided to make some custom photo corners. I did this by punching a 1/2" square from a scrap of Summer Sunrise cardstock. I then punched the scrap a second time with a 3/4" sqaure punch inverted, making sure that the 1/2" square was centered. This results in a square frame. I then cut the frame in half on the diagonal, creating two photo corners. I adhered the photo corners in place and then layered them with glossy accents.
The sentiment was added on top of the flowers using True Black ink.
My next project is a bit on the softer side.
I used the two largest flowers from Ruby Reprise to create a beautfiul pattern. The large flowers were stamped in Hawaiian Shores, then I flipped the stamp over and used th flat backside to add the Spring Rain solid shadow stamp over it. I used the same process for the smaller flowers with Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush inks. Dots of silver liquid pearls accent the center of each bloom.
I impressed the center of the card front with the Rustic Wreath die. Then the sentiment was added at its center using Charcoal Palette ink.
I have something with more of an earth tone to it next.
I used the new Stitched Pinked Edge Label die to cut a frame from Canyon Clay felt. As an added detail, I cut the center from the label using one of the rectangular book shapes from the Back to School die collection. Vintage Cream cardstock underneath showcases the sentiment stamped in Dark Chocolate. The frame is stitched in place with embroidery floss.
I stamped flowers and leaves from Ruby Reprise onto the Classic Kraft background using Terracotta Tile and Ripe Avocado. There is even a bit of layering done with Vintage Cream. Tiny pearls accent the centers of the flowers.
I swiped Vintage Cream ink around the edge of the Classic Kraft block to give it a softer look.
As I mentioned at the top of this post, Ruby Reprise coordinates with the previously released Ruby Rose dies. I used them on thsi next project to achieve some awesome layering looks.
I die-cut the large flowers from Sweet Blush and the medium flowers from Harvest Gold. I stamped them with the coordinating images using Melon Berry and Summer Sunrise respectively. For the cneters of the flowers I punches out 1/4" and 1/2" circles from Classic Kraft cardstock. I adhered them to the flowers and then applied some 2-way glue to the tops and sprinkled on glass glitter. shaking off the excess. I love the texture and sparkle this adds.
The sentiment strip was die-cut using one of the First Place dies and Fine Linen cardstock. I added the sentiment to the banner using Classic Kraft ink.
The background was added using Fine Linen ink and Polka Dot Basics.
Admittedly, I have been on a bit of a watercoloring kick lately, but I just love the results.
I heat embossed the flowers from Ruby Reprise as well as leaves from The Best is Yet To Be with White Filigree Embossing Powder. I then watercolored over them using Simply Chartreuse and Hawaiian Shores ink refills.
I die-cut a white block using one of the Stained Glass dies and heat embossed my sentiment as well. I watercolored over the sentiment in an ombre-like effect. I die-cut the same shape from the watercolored block and popped the first set I die-cut into its place. After adhering everything to the Simply Chartreuse card base, I added glossy accents to the frame to give it a similar glass as the heat embossing.
For my last card I wanted to show something a bit more clean and simple.
I simply stamped the same flower a few times in a row using different colors. By overlapping them just slightly, you get a really modern look. I added a few dots with a silver paint pen to the center of each bloom. The sentiment was stamped in Charcoal Palette ink. Everything was adhered to a Soft stone card base. As a finishing touch, I wrapped white crochet thread around the card base a few times and finished it with a knot on the front.
