Heather Nichols has a knack for adding patterns to the bold words she selects for her Wonderful Words collection, and this month's addition is no exemption. This is the tenth in series of stamp sets featuring one large word that can be used with a coordinating die cut. This set features the word "congrats" made up with a script font with a starburst overlay. The companion sentiments will pair up well with the die alone, the stamped word alone or the two used together.

Dawn McVey has done it again with this art deco inspired beauty! Boutique Borders: Congrats is the tenth set in a monthly series of gorgeous frame images and classic sentiments with beautiful font combinations as well as coordinating dies. Each month features a new frame image as well as a new sentiment theme. Use the frames with the Boutique Borders sentiments or use them with any number of sentiments and images from your own stamp collection! There's a new Cover Plate die in the house this month! Cover Plate: Mighty Bloom gives you another way to use all those pretty leaves from the Mighty Oak stamp set! Pair the leaf images with this gorgeous new die for a whole new look!

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
One of the things I love most about all of the Cover Plate dies release is just how easy it is to create a stunning card. It's like all of the design work is done for you! The new Cover Plate: Mighty Bloom is a perfect example of this!
I cut out the Cover Plate from white cardstock and removed all the petals. I then divided them into five piles and used five ink colors, one for each pile. I also selected five different patterned leaves/petals from Mighty Oak to use with them. After all the stamping was complete, I just popped them all back into the die-cut frame. SO easy!
I heat embossed one of the full length "Congratulations" from the new Congratulations set onto a strip of Raspberry Fizz cardstock for the top portion of the sentiment. I then used "On your" and "Promotion" from Congrats All Ways on a strip of Simply Chartruese cardtock.
Both sentiment strips were layered and adhered to the top of the card cover. Can you just imagine all of the fun color combos you could do with this?
I thought it would be fun to show how this new Cover Plate can be transformed by using a single color and single stamp image. I started with a vibrant Royal Velvet card base.
I die-cut the Cover Plate: Mighty Bloom die from white cardstock and removed all of the leaves/petals. I then stamped all of them with the same pattern from Mighty Oak using Winter Wisteria ink. I temporarily adhered the die-cut Cover Plate frame onto tthe cover of my card and glued all of the individual petals down. I then removed the frame and was left with this. A tiny floral rhinestone was added to the very center.
I die-cut the letter "H" using the new alphabet die (more about this later in the week!) to serve as a monogram.
I think it would be gorgeous to create a whole set of these in different colors, tie them up with ribbon and give them as a gift!
Anything art deco is all the rage right now because of the Great Gatsby movie released earlier this past summer. The new Boutique Borders set complements this style perfectly.
I die-cut the frame from Limeade Ice cardstock and stamped it with the complementary image in New Leaf ink. I added one of the sentiment from the set in VersaMark and then heat embossed it with White Filigree Embossing Powder.
Behind the frame I added elements from Rosie Posie, followed by the shading found in Rosie Posie Step 2. I used Berry Sorbet and Raspberry Fizz for the roses. Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores for the tulips and Limeade Ice and New Leaf for the leaves.
It was so fun to pull out an old favorite and mix it up with the new Boutique Borders: Congrats like this!
Next up is a card I made using Wonderful Words: Congrats. The font used for the extra large congrats is so fresh and fun to use, I just know you will love using it too!
I wanted to pair it up with the previously released Super Stars set. I heat embossed various elements from it with White Filigree Embossing Powder. I then watercolored over them using Ocean Tides, Canyon Clay and Summer sunrise ink refills. I added a few dots of glitter using a 2-way glue pen after the watercolored areas had dried.
I also waterccolored a strip of white cardstock using the same colors. After it had dried I die-cut it with the Wonderful Words: Congrats die. This was paired up with one of the companion sentiments from Wonderful Words: Congrats stamp set.
I think this card could be used for so mahy different occassions and it would even look great in other colors too!
How about a baby card? Adoption specifically! One of the things I love about the previously releases Congrats All Ways set is the variety of occasions it covers. When you pair it up with the new Congratulations set, you have SO many possibilities!
tI started with the elephant from Bitty Baby Blessings stamped in Charcoal Palette ink. I then "filled in" the shae with various images from Mini Blooms using Harvest Gold, Sweet Blush, Summer Sunrise and Melon Berry inks. This technique would work well for all of the little animals in the set, not to mention outlined images from other sets too!
I die-cut Wonderful Words: Congrats from white cardstock and then stamped it with the coordinating image in Summer Sunrise. Underneath that I added a strip of Sweet Blush cardstock and added the sentiment from Congrats All Ways in Melon Berry ink.
Everything was adhered to a Harvest Gold card base. You could easily swap out the colors for more blue tones if you wanted to make this for a baby boy!
I have one last project for you today! A little something for the grad! I've always likedd putting butterflies on a graduation card because it represents taking flight into the next stage of their lives!
I stamped this beautiful script sentiment from the new Congratulations set. I added the companion sentiment from Congrats All Ways, all in True Black.
I used some small butterflies from Butterfly Dreams in New Leaf and Hawaiian Shores along the side of the card front. I added a few dots of glitter using a 2-way glue pen and Prisma Glitter. The card base was created with Hawaiian Shores polka dot paper.
