Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
One of my favorite things about this set is that you can get as detailed as you like, depending on how you choose to use the products. The snowshoe images actually come with two different dies. One is a regular die that you would use if you wanted to stamp the interior webbing. Then there is a second die with pre-cut holes so you can thread your own webbing with real floss! Here I have an example of the later. I stamped the background with snowflakes using Ocean Tides ink.
I die-cut the snowshoes from Classic Kraft cardstock and stamped them with the snowshoe frame image using Dark Chocolate ink. I then threaded the holes with white crochet thread for a realistic look. You really can't do this part wrong! Just start stringing your floss through the holes to create a symmetrical pattern. The evergreen boughs were die-cut from white cardstock. I stamped them with Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides and Scarlet Jewel.
I just adore this sentiment! I stamped it in Ocean Tides onto a white strip of cardstock.
Everything was adhered to a Scarlet Jewel card base.
I wanted to play on the metallic material that would have been used on parts of the sled for my next project. Perfect Pearls seemed like a great answer! I stamped the snowflakes in the background using VersaMark abd swiped on Perfect Copper Perfect Pearls.
I die-cut the sled from white cardstock then stamped the wooden portion with Dark Chocolate. The second layer was added with VersaMark and Perfect Copper. I die-cut the evergreen bough from Vintage Cream and stamped it in Ripe Avocado and Scarlet Jewel.
I added the "Warm Winter Wishes" sentiment to the bottom along with the "Happy Brrrrr-thday" companion sentiment.
I matted the focal point with white cardstock and then adhered the whole thing to a Dark Chocolate card base.
Many people in my family up in Main, ski every weekend. This pair of vintage skis will come in handy often when making cards for all of them!
I die-cut the skis from Soft Stone cardstock and stamped them with the coordinating image in Charcoal Palette. The bindings were added in True Black.
I die-cut holly leaves using Holly Jolly dies and layered them just ender the edge of the crossed skis. I also added a single red button to the center of the holly.
For the background, I die-cut a few of the new snowflakes from the white card front. I adhered Enchanted Evening bitty dot paper to the card front and the the die-cut white cardstock on top of that. I adhered the snowflakes back into place as the last finishing touch.
Love the pop of red with the button and card base.
I have one last project to share with you today. I wanted to show how fantastic the sled image can look with a touch of heat embossing!
I stamped the sled in Canyon Clay and then added the silver portion with VersaMark and Silver Filigree Embossing Powder.
The sentiment was added with Spring Moss ink and accented by button on each side.
