Now that I've made the formal introduction, let's get onto the projects!
It's kind of funny. Sometimes when I design a stamp set, I can visualize a project I want to create with it, and sometimes that influences me to make certain design decisions as well. That is exactly what happened with this card here.
When I designed the set, I could just picture stamping the Queen Anne's Lace in Fresh Snow ink onto Kraft cardstock and following suit with the leaves & stems in Ripe Avocado. This visualization also brought about the unique two-step nature of the flowers, with one stamp to do all of the individual "mini stems" within the flower in one color, and the actual tiny flowers in another. I was SO incredibly excited to execute this and I am just in LOVE with the results.
After stamping all of the stems and leaves, I added this gorgeous sentiment in True Black. I swiped the edges of the card front with Fresh Snow ink to soften everything up a bit.
I wrapped the card front with a bit of white twine and finished it off with a bow.
Everything was adhered to a white card front. I love how this project turned out, even better than I imagined, and know this is something I will mass produce in the future!
I decided to get a little artsy with my next project. I started by stamping Background Basics: Newsprint onto white cardstock using Charcoal Palette ink.
I then heat embossed the ferns with Clear filigree Embossing Powder. I used Aqua Mist and New Leaf ink refills to watercolor over the embossed areas and add definition to the gorgeous detail in the ferns.
As a special accent, I die-cut the Cover Plate: Twist from vellum cardstock and cut a portion of it to use as a border on the side of my card. I attached it with 1/8" Scor-tape.
I stamped the sentiment onto Aqua Mist cardstock and heat embossed it with White Filigree Embossing Powder.
I love the softness of this card and it really was a joy to create it! I can hardly wait to send it off to someone special!
My next project pairs up two of my favorite colors lately, Melon Berry and Berry Sorbet. I started by stamping a few of the ferns onto the Melon Berry card front using Berry Sorbet ink.
I then die-cut additional ferns from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped them with the coordinating images using both Melon Berry & Berry Sorbet inks. I was careful to ink the centers of the ferns with the Melon Berry and the tips with the Berry Sorbet. I love the pretty ombre look this created.
I used the frame image from Scrolling Script along with the Mat Stack 7 die to create the perfect spot for my sentiment. I added it, again using a mixture of Melon Berry & Berry Sorbet inks.
To help add balance and ground everything a bit, I added a strip of Berry Sorbet cardstock to the bottom edge of the card.
Everything was mounted onto a Vintage Cream card base.
Meadow Greens was just calling out to be paired up with Perfect Pearls, so this is what I came up with.
I stamped all of the leaves and flowers onto Smokey Shadow cardstock using VersaMark ink. I then brushed on various colors of Perfect Pearls to bring it all to life. One of my favorite things to do is combine more than one color of Perfect Pearls. As you can see here, I used Blue Patina for the flowers, but also added a bit of Sunflower Sparkle to the centers.
For the sentiment strip I added stitching to the top and bottom using Sew Simple Borders. The sentiment is from Meadow Greens. I used additional Perfect Pearls with the VersaMark ink to make them pop from the Ocean Tides cardstock. To shake things up a bit, I mounted it at an angle. Everything was mounted to a Gold Shimmer card base.
