If you take a close look at the trends in fashion, home decor and even paper crafting, a touch of gold can be found turning the ordinary into something fabulous. Here's your chance to apply this trend to your very own style! The challenge is to add a touch of gold to a paper crafted project. This could be done with gold embossing powder, gold shimmer cardstock, gold glitter, gold metallic pigment powders, gold metallic pen, gold sequins, gold floss or thread or even gold leaf. You could even raid your beauty stash and try adapting gold fingernail polish or gold eye shadow to your needs! We are looking forward to seeing all of your amazing projects!
I have included an inlinkz list below for you to add your link to your blog hop project. This type of link list will allow you to select a thumbnail to go along with your link, making it easy to go back and find a project later that might have perked your interest.
You have until 11:30pm EST tonight (June 25th) to add your link to this list. THREE random participants will be selected to win a $25 PTI Gift Certificate to spend however they choose. They will be announced and highlighted here, on my blog, tomorrow morning.
We look forward to seeing all of your creations!
EDITED TO ADD RANDOMLY SELECTED WINNERS:
Darnell used wired ribbon with a tocuh of gold woven through the pattern to create this amazing blog hop project. I love the red and green color scheme (one of my favorites!) and the simple layout. Such a great way to use the huge variety of wide ribbons you might have in your stash!
LauraJane had fun incorporating the new Polka Dot Parade #5 to create this adorable card. I love the way the two birds are facing each other to represent a couple. The way she added flowers to one of the birds was a clever way to distinguish the male from the female. Beautiful colors as well!!!
Preeya added a touch of gold to her project by heat embossing the sentiment on her chevron inspired card. I loved the colors she put together and the size of the sentiment she chose is the perfect scale! Definitely a project to keep on file for when you need a fabulous quick & easy card idea!
Congratulations to all the winners! Please be sure to email customer service and provide them with the email address you would like your gift certificate sent to! And a big thank you to everyone else who participated! There were some amazing projects and so much inspiration shared!
Turn to your markers next time you want to add some textural detail to your stamped projects. Let Heather show you that they can be used for much more than just coloring and shading.
