Make It Monday #118: Photo Postcards

Happy Summer! We hope you are having a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend. To go with that theme, we've got a project from Ashley today that you might find useful with upcoming vacations, parties, and outings. Why not send a personalized postcard to somebody you love highlighting your recent activities? Click "play" to find out Ashley's tips. 

 

If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.

--A new Make It Monday Challenge will go up every Monday morning at 9am EST.

--Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a photo postcard. .

--Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).

--Add your project to our InLinkz list below.

--You will have until 7am, Monday, June 3rd, to add your link to the list to be eligible to win. And you can enter as many times as you like.

--We will be tweeting and posting on our Facebook page every night (between 5-9pm EST) highlighting a Featured Project. These tweets/Facebook postings will just be a shout-out regarding projects that caught our eye. 

--One randomly selected winner will be chosen from ALL the entries on Monday,  June 3rd, after 7am. The winner will be posted here on this blog post, on Twitter and Facebook. The randomly selected winner will get a $25 PTI gift certificate to spend however they like!

May 2013 Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the May 2013 Papertrey Blog Hop!  We are so thrilled to see you here!  First, the challenge...

I think it is safe to say that just about every stamper enjoys playing with floral sets the most.  This month we are giving you an entire rainbow of "bouquet builder" color schemes to incorporate into a new floral project.  Just pick your favorite floral set at the moment, pull out the ink colors for one of the gorgeous inspiration pieces above and create!  Have fun experimenting with which colors are more dominant, and which ones serve just as a tiny accent.  You do not need to use all of the colors listed in any particular scheme above & feel free to use substitutions.  Just have fun with the challenge and perhaps try something a little bit out of your normal creative comfort zone!

I have included an inlinkz list below for you to add your link to your blog hop project.  This type of link list will allow you to select a thumbnail to go along with your link, making it easy to go back and find a project later that might have perked your interest.  

You have until 11:30pm EST tonight (May 25th) to add your link to this list.  THREE random participants will be selected to win a $25 PTI Gift Certificate to spend however they choose.

EDITED TO ADD RANDOMLY SELECTED WINNERS:

Anna created an all over floral background using her selected bouquet builder color inspiration.  I love the simple banner she chose to display her sentiment.  It really helps the eye to enjoy the bright & colorful background.

Kristin F. opted to focus on a large focal point made with Cutting Garden.  The scattering of sequins she added as an accent really helps to keep the eye wandering.  The chevron background is subtle but really makes a statement!

Lynn used the tiny rose trio from The Sweet Life to highlight the polaroid-style frame from Framed Out #12.  By keeping it simple, all of the details of the small flowers really pop and take center stage.

Congratulations to all of the winners!  Please be sure to contact customer service and provide the email address you would like your gift certificate sent to!  And a HUGE thank you to the large number of you that participated in this month's challenge!  So many beautiful cards to inspire ALL of us for months to come!

May 2013 Blog Hop Tomorrow...

Tomorrow we are excited to present the BIG monthly Blog Hop that Papertrey Ink hosts for all of its talented customers to show off their skills! The Blog Hop is an ALL DAY EVENT!  An Inlinkz list will be posted here on my blog at 10am EST and you can add your link anytime up until 11:30pm EST.  And don't worry if you aren't going to get a chance to make a project and play along, there will be a contest for non-participants as well over in our forum in the designated thread. I hope that I will see many of your familiar faces over here tomorrow! I look forward to seeing all of your creativity!
