Welcome back for another day of anniversary fun! As tradition holds, let's begin with a few more sneak peeks of what's to come!
Dawn McVey has created an absolutely stunning new floral set for you this month. The incredible detail and the layers of petals that each flower holds is truly spectacular. The coordinating dies make it easy to layer the bits and pieces to arrange your own amazing bouquets!
Per customer request, Lizzie Jones has created a $5 set full of fence finials that can be used in conjunction with her previously released set, Background Basics: Wrought Iron. The clever part of her designs? Each of the finial designs are paired up in groups of three, already perfectly spaced for the fence poles. This means it will be three times faster to add these delicate details to your fence!

A quick note about all of the Year of Flowers dies...
In an effort to preserve the detail of the flowers and leaves contained in these sets, the dies were intentionally designed to cut a minimal amount of an "edge" around each of the stamped images.
Some of our design team members selected their very favorite Year of Flowers set and created a project using the new coordinating dies! Be sure to click through to each designers blog to see additional photos of the project as well as a complete supply list.

For my second announcement today, I am happy to introduce Lizzie Jones as our official Newsletter Editor. She has been working extraordinarily hard behind the scenes revamping our monthly newsletter that goes out the first of each month. There are so many incredible additions, you won't want to miss a single issue! If you don't already receive the newsletter, you can sign up for it HERE on our website. Now here is Lizzie to tell you more about what you can look forward to with future mailings!
Hello everyone, Lizzie Jones reporting for duty here! Starting in March you'll be seeing a fresh look to the Papertrey News! The newsletter has been redesigned and expanded to give you even more inspiration and interaction than ever before. You'll see a couple of returning sections, but most of the content is brand new! Here's a little preview of what you'll find in your inbox in just a few short weeks:
This perennial favorite is continuing through to the new newsletter. Each month the Senior Design Team ladies will be focusing on a previously released set. These features will show you the versatility and flexibility of stamps that may have found themselves on your creative back burner.
Our community is absolutely packed with talent! In the new Blog Hop Highlights and Make It Monday Highlights sections we'll be sharing some of our favorite customer projects from the previous month's interactive events. We'll also include links to the Make It Monday tutorials themselves, so you can catch or refresh on any technique you may have missed. Make sure to play along and keep your eyes peeled. You never know when you might see one of your submissions in an upcoming newsletter!
In the Hot Topics section we'll be discussing trends in the industry and hot topics from our customer forum. If you're talking about something, we're interested! The section may also include features on products that are particularly on trend at the moment; perhaps highlighting oldie-but-goodies you already have in your collection.
In the Our Favorite Things section we'll be highlighting the Design Team's outstanding recent projects. Some months there may be a theme and some months the projects will determine the focus.
Who doesn't enjoy getting a gift wrapped in lovely packaging? Adding a little extra special decoration can make a present even more meaningful or put a huge smile on a deserving face. Whether you're looking for something sophisticated or whimsical, Papertrey has you covered! The Pretty Packaging section will be full of ideas and inspiration to help you keep all of your gifts gorgeous.
We love keeping on eye on our Pinterest boards and seeing which projects are crowd pleasers. In the Top Pinterest Pins section we'll highlight the top Design Team pins from the previous month. We'll also link directly to our Pinterest page so it will be super easy for you to hop over and see all of the Design Team's projects organized by category (Birthday, Mother's Day, Wedding & Anniversary, etc).
Who couldn't use a little help getting organized once in a while? In the Studio Storage section we'll mention tips and tricks for crafty organization from customers and design team members alike. Think "Dear Heloise" for crafters. Have a tip? Email me! We have a new email address set up just for you to send me your bits of wit and wisdom - [email protected]. I hope to hear from you soon!
If you're anything like me, you sometimes get into color ruts. In the Color Play section we'll feature an inspiration photo and an original project made with the suggested color palette. It's our fun way to get you thinking outside the box!
Another returning section in the updated newsletter will be our Upcoming Events area. Here you'll find reminders about countdowns, releases, and special events. You'll also find notes about holidays or other potential shipping interrupters.
So that's what you can expect from the newly revamped newsletter. I hope these changes have you excited - I sure am!
