- Each case measures 7.5" high x 5.6" wide and 0.4" thick. They are thick enough to comfortably accommodate stamps on the interior of both the front & back covers with minimal sticking.
Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
For my first project today I wanted to keep things simple and showcase how little supplies & effort are required to create a show piece when using The Sweet Life.
I started by stamping the three layers of the rose trio in each corner. This was done with Sweet Blush, Autumn Rose and Scarlet Jewel inks. I then added the leaves in Simply Chartreuse. I opted to skip the second layer for the leaves just to give everything a more clean look. I impressed this layer with the Linen & Canvas impression plate.
I die-cut Fillable Frames #10 from white cardstock and added one of the sentiments from The Sweet Life using True Black ink.
Everything was finished perfectly by adhering it to an Autumn Rose card base.
For my next project I opted to create a pretty little monogrammed stationery gift set. It was easy to create with just a few basic steps.
I started with the card design first.
I die-cut the monogram letters from Fine Linen Pattern Pack (stripes) using the Modern Alphabet Upper dies. I stamped the tiny rose trio from The Sweet Life onto a 1" punched circle of Rustic Cream using Melon Berry ink. I then added the leaves in two layers using Spring Moss & Simply Chartreuse inks. These were matted with a 1-1/8" circle of Melon Berry.
To assemble, I started with a Rustic Cream card base and used Classic Kraft ink t0 stamp "from the desk of", which is included in Think Big Favorites #18. I then adhered the rose medallion with foam tape above that. The two initials were attached on wither side of that. The two bottom corners were rounded with a punch.
As an extra special touch, I created a spool of envelope seals to coordinate with the cards. I created several of the same rose medallions just like the ones used on the cards.
I ran all of them through my Xyron Sticker Maker and punched them out of the wax paper backing using my 1-1/8" circle punch. I then adhered the back of the wax paper backed seals to a strip of clear cardstock attached to a wooden spool (leftover from our twine). They are now all ready for the recipient to peel and stick onto their envelopes.
I created my own little gift bag by using the Front & Center #2 die and a brown lunch bag. I die-cut two pieces from the Front & Center #2 dies using Melon Berry cardstock. I stamped them with Polka Dot Basics using Berry Sorbet ink. I added a notched strip of Fine Linen striped paper to the front of the bag.
I stamped the "handmade stationery" from Think Big Favorites #18 in the center of a die-cut Mega Mat Stack 5 with Classic Kraft ink. I then added the small rose trio around the sentiment using the same colors as the small rose trio medallions above. I finished the top of the label with a little trio of MElon Berry buttons tied with twine.
Up next, a simple thank you card that would be easy to mass produce as a gift or just to keep on hand.
I started by stamping the roses onto my background block of Rustic Cream cardstock. I built the roses in three layers using Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky & Enchanted Evening inks. The leaves were done with Ripe Avocado & Pinefeather inks. I swiped Tea Dye Duo around the edges.
I created a sentiment strip from Spring Rain cardstock stamped with Polka Dot Basics in Spring Rain ink. The sentiment (from Think Big Favorites #18) was added with Enchanted Evening ink.
This was all finished by adhering it to an Enchanted Evening card base.
I just adore the colors used in my next card, so bright & cheerful and full of sunshine!
I die-cut the single roses from white cardstock and created them with the three layers of images. This used Harvest Gold, Melon Berry & Berry Sorbet inks. I also die-cut the leaves and stamped them with Spring Moss & Simply Chartreuse.
For the sentiment block, I die-cut the Mat Stack #1 shape from white cardstock and stamped it with this pretty frame from the Mat Stack 1 Collection using Simply Chartreuse ink. I then added this sentiment from Half & Half using Berry Sorbet ink. I layered Berry Sorbet stitched ribbon underneath everything and finished the right side with a Berry Sorbet button & twine.
This was layered on top of Summer Sunrise striped paper and a Melon Berry card base.
For my last project today, I wanted to showcase how you can use the tiny rose trio stamp from The Sweet Life to create a beautiful wreath.
I started by drawing a rough circle in pencil on my white cardstock block. I layered the tiny rose trio images around the circle using Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores & Ocean Tides inks. I then wen in between each of the layered flowers and added an extra layer in Aqua Mist to fill in the blanks. I used the tiny leaf image in Spring Moss & Simply Chartreuse to add the greenery around the circle. When I was all done, I erased my pencil lines.
I die-cut the bow using the Happy Hygrangeas die and then stamped it with the coordinating image using Simply Chartreuse ink. I finished the center of the bow with a small Hawaiian Shores button. For the sentiment, I stamped "thank you" from Think Big Favorites #18 in True Black across the center of the wreath. Everything was adhered to an Aqua Mist card base.
