Introducing Tagged Sentiments, Heart-2-Heart #3 & Baby Face

Melissa Bickford continues with her wonderful, versatile mini series this month.  Heart-2-Heart #3 is the third set in a monthly series of adorable images, sentiments and coordinating dies. Each set features a clean and simple design and a fun font combination that you will love mixing and matching. The coordinating die will make stamping a breeze and give you a perfect image every time you use it. A super fun series that will be a welcome addition to any stamp collection and put a smile on any recipients face!

We are proud to introduce the very first stamp release from designer Lexi Daly.  We've got the cutest little baby face for all of your new baby cards and gifts.  This set includes two baby faces, a boy and a girl, along with blanket options for cute little bundles of joy.  You can design your own mobile with a mobile frame and eight little images.  Add to that several sentiment options and the possibilities are endless!

• Baby Face contains a total of 24 images.  The "you've got the cutest little baby face" sentiment measures 2-3/4 inches wide and 1/4 inch tall.  The "oh, baby!" sentiment is 3/4 inches wide and 1/4 inch tall.  The baby face is just under 1 inch wide and about 1 inch tall.  The blanket is 1 inch wide and a little more than 1-1/4 inch tall.  The mobile is 2-1/2 inches tall and 1-3/4 inches tall.

 

The Script Alphabet die collection is a new alphabet set I've designed that will allow you to create fun little script words.  They are designed so that you can layer the "end" under the beginning of the next letter when stringing them together for a nice clean & polished look.  Both upper & lower case alphabets are being released together.

 Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

For this first project, I decided to break out one of my old favorites, Daydreamer, and pair it up with Dawn's fabulous new sentiment set.  I started by stamping the Aqua Mist background layer with blooms from Daydreamer using Hawaiian Shores ink.

For the focal point, I die-cut Vintage Cream cardstock with the scalloped Limitless Layers 1.75" Circle die and stamped it with the circular sentiment image from Tagged Sentiments using Fine Linen ink.  I stamped the flowers from Daydreamer onto Vintage Cream cardstock as well, using Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst & Orange Zest inks.  I added the leaves directly to the background with Ripe Avocado ink.

As a sweet little detail, I added a pearl head pin to the top of the tag.  All of this was adhered to a Fine Linen card base.

My next project uses the amazing new Script Alphabet dies!

I stamped a border background on Sweet Blush cardstock with the various patterned hearts from Heart-2-Heart #3 using Berry Sorbet, Hibiscus Burst & Raspberry Fizz inks.  I love these hearts because they have a bit of an untraditional shape to them.

I die-cut the Script Alphabet from Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack (Bitty Dot) and adhered them in place.  The supporting sentiment (from Inside & Out: Thank You) was added to a strip of Raspberry Fizz cardstock.  The small heart from Heart-2-Heart #3 was added to a 1/2" Sweet Blush Circle with Hibiscus Burst ink, then covered with pink glitter.

the corners of the Sweet Blush layer were rounded with a corner rounder punch and I adhered everything to a Berry Sorbet card base.

For this cute baby card I thought I would use one of the sweet little baby heads to replace the "o" in this phrase from Baby Button Bits.

I die-cut both the standard & lacey ovals from the new Limitless Layers 3.5" Oval die collection.  I stamped the sentiment in Charcoal Palette ink and then added the baby image from Baby Face in the same color.  I colored the baby & letters with Copic Markers.

For the background, I stamped Fine Linen cardstock with Fresh Snow ink using Distressed Stripes to form a plaid pattern.

I layered and looped a bit of Sweet Blush Stitched Ribbon under the focal point to help balance everything out.

I thought I would create a sweet, slightly masculine anniversary card next using more from Tagged Sentiments.

I started by die-cutting Mat Stack 3 from Rustic Cream cardstock and stamping the coordinating frame from Mat Stack 3 Collection in Fine Linen ink.  I added the "happy anniversary" sentiment from the same set using Dark Chocolate.  The tag sentiment was stamped in Scarlet Jewel onto a circle of cardstock die-cut from Rustic Cream as well.

I added a small heart die-cut from Dark Chocolate felt using the new Heart-2-Heart #3 die.  I finished the homemade embellishment with a Classic Kraft button tied with cream twine.

For the background I used the new Background Basics: Postmarks.  Isn't it just gorgeous?  I added it with Dark Chocolate ink.

Everything was combined on a Scarlet Jewel card front.

My next project is a bright & bold baby card, perfect for welcoming a little boy into the world!

I started by stamping the little baby blanket bundle from Baby Face with Enchanted evening ink, adding the face with Charcoal Palette ink.  I then die-cut a circle from white cardstock and added the tag image (from Tagged Sentiments) with New Leaf ink.  The little star on the baby bundle was added with a small rhinestone to embellish it.

The small outlined star image I used on the baby bundle just so happens to coordinate PERFECTLY with the Super Star Border dies we released recently.  I die-cut the star border with Harvest Gold cardstock, stamping the stars in Orange Zest.  I also created a bottom border from New Leaf cardstock, stamped with A Little Argyle in New Leaf ink.

The background of the Enchanted Evening card base was embellished a bit with the preciously released Super Stars set, stamped in Enchanted Evening.

for my last project today, I thought I would show you a little something whipped up using the customizable mobile images from Baby Face.

I stamped the mobile onto Classic Kraft cardstock using Fresh Snow ink, then added the different little images to fill it in.  These are all SO adorable!  I colored the images in with Copic Markers.  I then added a small sentiment, also from the set, in Fresh Snow ink as well.

I stamped the white cardstock background with Background Basics: Postmarks using Charcoal Palette ink.  I then "tied" the focal image in place with Pure Poppy Bakers Twine & a Smokey Shadow button.  Everything was adhered to a Soft Stone card base.
