As announced during this year's anniversary festivities, Stamp-a-faire will be taking place on Saturday, July 21st as an online event. We are extremely excited about this new format because it will allow ALL of our customers the opportunity to participate! Here is a brief summary of what you have to look forward to in July!
This year our theme is "Summer Camp", featuring lots of special touches that will bring back fond memories of camp & scouting experiences you may have had as a child. It's all about having fun, learning new skills and making stamping friends to last a lifetime.
Customers will have the opportunity to "earn" custom embroidered badges (just like you do in scouts!) that we are having created exclusively for the event, one for each challenge/task completed throughout the day. The embroidered badges can be stitched to your Stamp-a-faire tote as a fun token of the event!
Many of the challenges and events are geared around typical things you might do at summer camp. Here is a brief list of the badges you will be able to earn during

"Knots Badge- Ribbon Techniques Challenge"
Design Team members will be contributing tutorials & videos on various techniques to do with ribbon, one for each ribbon type we carry. You will be challenged to re-create one of these techniques or share one of your own favorites.
"Memory Preservation Badge- Mini Book Challenge"
Design Team members will be contributing various mini book tutorials & instructional videos using several of our popular mini book products. You will be challenged to re-create one and possibly add your own special twist. The book can then be used for holding memories from your Stamp-a-faire experience or "autographs" from all of your new stamping friends.
"Craft Conservation Badge- Limited Supply Challenge"
A list of limited supplies will be provided and you will be challenged to create a project using those specific supplies. The design team will also be sharing projects made with the same restrictions.
"Friendship Badge- Beaded Friendship Bracelets"
A video tutorial will be shared using a new exclusive die & patterned paper collection that will be available for sale later this fall, but made available early in the Stamp-a-faire bags! The products are geared towards creating paper rolled beads that are inexpensive, easy and fun! Customers that are meeting up in groups are encouraged to initial the beads they make and trade them with one another to create a "friendship" bracelet.
"Rainbow Badge- Tie-Dye Techniques"
A video tutorial for a few different "tie-dye" type techniques for paper will be shared. You will be challenged to try a few of them out yourself and create some really unique backgrounds for your projects!
"Correspondence Badge- Camp Card Set Challenge"
Several Design Team members will be providing tutorials & instructional videos on how to create sets of cards, perfect for gifts or to keep on hand for your own correspondence. You can create a set of cards for yourself and collect addresses from fellow camp mates or forum members and become pen pals.
"DIY Badge- Homemade Embellishments"
Design team members will share a large variety of tutorials & instructional video for different kinds of homemade embellishments using lots of the basic supplies that you already have on hand. You will be challenged to try one of the team members creations or come up with your own special version to share.
Each of these challenges along with the tutorials, videos & project ideas from the team, will be posted on a schedule every few hours during Stamp-a-faire day, keeping you busy throughout the day and into the night. Each post will have an InLinkz list provided for you to share your projects with the rest of the Stamp-a-faire participants worldwide! The InLinkz lists will be open for submissions until Monday afternoon. Gift Certificates will be awarded as prizes for each of the challenges!
Here is a brief schedule of how everything will work leading up to the actual Stamp-a-faire event.
May 1st- At 9am EST, Stamp-a-faire Tote Collections & Add-on Supply Kits will be available for PRE-ORDER. The pre-order will be open until Friday, May 4th, 11pm EST. This is your ONLY opportunity to guarantee that you will receive a Stamp-a-faire bag and/or Add-on Supply Kit. A limited supply of the bags & kits will be made available above and beyond the initial pre-orders, but once that limited supply is gone we will not be restocking them.
May 31st- Pre-orderd bags & add-on kits will begin shipping. A limited supply of additional bags & add-on kits will be made available for immediate sale in the store this day as well. Once the limited supply is gone, it will not be re-stocked. The Stamp-a-faire general schedule will also be posted here on the blog to help aid you in final preparations.
July 16th- Official Stamp-a-faire schedule of events posted with complete details along with some fun extra announcements about additional activities.
July 21st- OFFICIAL STAMP-A-FAIRE DAY!
It is important to note that ANYONE and EVERYONE can participate in this year's Stamp-a-faire event for FREE, no required purchase is necessary, no registration is required. However, to make the event more fun and help the various gathering around the world be more cohesive, we are making Stamp-a-faire totes available for purchase. To make this event as affordable as possible, we have divided the purchase opportunities into two groups.
The first set of items available for order for this event is the Stamp-a-faire Tote Collection. This is a basic set of the Stamp-a-faire exclusive items and does not include anything that we currently have available for sale in our store. This collection includes the following items:
- Exclusive Stamp-a-faire Recycled Cotton Canvas Tote with a zipper closure. Measures 14" high x 17" wide and 5-1/2" deep. The interior features a zippered pocket, mesh water bottle holder and key fob.

No, you unfortunately cannot use Rewards points to purchase either of these items.
What will be the shipping charges for the Stamp-a-faire Tote Collection and/or the Add-on Supply Kit?
Our normal shipping policies and rate schedule will apply to these purchases. Since both items are over the free shipping threshold for the United States, they will qualify for free shipping.
If I change my mind after I pre-order my Stamp-a-faire Tote Collection and/or the Add-on Supply Kit and no longer want it, can I cancel my pre-order?
No changes will be permitted. Once the pre-order is placed, the sale is final.
If I decide I do not want my Stamp-a-faire Tote Collection or any portion of the Add-on Supply Kit after I receive it, can I return them?
Both the Stamp-a-faire Tote Collection and the Add-on Supply Kit will not be returnable or exchangeable.

We discorage people from doing this since it will be a few weeks before the pre-orders begin shipping. However, if you are willing to wait and you do add additional merchandise, we will ship them along with your pre-order items when they are available.
I just want the exclusive Stamp-a-faire stamp set, Natural Beauties. Will you ever make it available for sale?
Natural Beauties will not be made available for sale, however, all customers will have the opportunity to earn it for free with a qualifying $100 purchase made between 7am EST and 11:30pm EST on Stamp-a-faire Day (July 21st, 2012).
