Today's posts are all about keys, castles and a little love!
Beth Silaika has designed a wonderful new set featuring beautiful ornate skeleton keys and coordinating sentiments.
The details.
- Lock & Key will be available for sale on December 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- Lock & Key contains a total of 12 stamps (4 keys, 1 lock and 7 sentiments). The keys each average about 2" long and 1/2" wide.
- A coordinating die set will be available for sale separately for $5. One die cuts out shapes to coordinate with all four keys from the set wile the other die coordinates with the lock.
Melissa Bickford is up next with a set fit for royalty! This little set includes both a solid castle and an outlined castle with a few small accessories and sentiments added to the mix. It's perfect for creating projects for the special little girls in your life and even has some other applications that you probably haven't even thought of yet!

My next introduction today is the new addition to the Tag-its collection. This little set is dedicated to hearts and love in true rustic style, with a perfect balance of whimsy. There are adorable little sentiments that tuck into the heart shaped frame and even a miniature arrow and key to use as accents.

Dawn McVey has designed an adorable new border die that can be used in a variety of ways. You can cut it from a variety of materials, stamp small scaled images in each heart and even use the negative leftovers as a second completely different border design. This little gem is definitely worth the $6 price tag!

- The Heart Border die measures 1/2" x 8-1/2" and is open-ended to allow you to make as many cuts in a row as you like.
I also have the next installment of the Mat Stack extension series to share with you today.
Our Mat Stack dies are among our most popular products and this month we are continuing our new series geared towards them. The "Layerz" version is approximately 1/8" of an inch larger all the way around, making it the perfect scale to mat the existing Mat Stack 4 shape. The "Mega" version is blown-up to be A2 card cover size and not necessarily used as a mat for anything. Just a fun super-sized way to jazz up your projects.

Now, onto the projects!
My first card today uses a fun new color scheme and pairs Lock & Key up with the previously released Heart Prints Sentiments set.
I stamped the pattern using background strips from Rosie Posie (which will be introduced later on in the week). I swiped the ink pads across the stamp to create a slightly distressed look to the stamped images. The ink colors are Canyon Clay, Melon Berry & Autumn Rose. I die-cut Autumn Rose felt with the Buttoned Up #2 die and tucked it under a Terracotta Tile button tied with Rustic Cream button twine.
For the focal point, I die-cut an Angled Label with Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped the coordinating frame from Label Basics in Autumn Rose. The key from Lock & Kay was added using Canyon Clay ink. A strip of Melon Berry cardstock holds the sentiment from Heart Prints Sentiments stamped in Canyon Clay as well.
All of this was adhered to an Autumn Rose card base.
This next project used Lock & Key to make a unique graduation card.
I stamped my Ocean Tides card base with elements from Rosie Posie using Fresh Snow, Enchanted Evening, Ripe Avocado and VersaMark.
The Fillable Frames #9 die was used with Kraft cardstock to create a tag then the coordinating frame from Fillable Frames #9 stamp set was added with Fresh Snow ink. The sentiment from Lock & Key was added with Enchanted Evening.
I die-cut the key from Enchanted Evening cardstock and stamped the coordinating image from Lock & Key in Enchanted Evening ink. The key was "tied" to the tag with 1/4" silk ribbon that was colored with a Ripe Avocado Copic Marker. An Ocean Tides button finishes it off.
I die-cut Mega Mat Stack 4 from Soft Stone cardstock and stamped the sentiments from Congrats All Ways in Enchanted Evening & Ripe Avocado ink.
The new Little Princess set can be used for weddings just as well as little girls birthdays.
I die-cut the castle from white cardstock and stamped the solid portion of the image in Sweet Blush. I then followed up with the outlined image in Smokey Shadow. Small pearls were added to the top of each tower. The sentiment from Love & Marriage (also being introduced later this week) was stamped on a strip of vellum cardstock using True Black ink.
I stamped the large leaf element from Rosie Posie in a row through the middle of the Soft Stone card front using Smokey Shadow ink. All of this was adhered to a Smokey Shadow card base.
Now for another castle project perfect for a special little princess in your life. I stamped a piece of Simply Chartreuse cardstock with a leaf sprig from Turning a New Leaf using Ripe Avocado ink. I then added small daisies (from Love Lives Here) with Fresh Snow ink.
I die-cut the castle from Hibiscus Burst cardstock and stamped the coordinating outlined image in Raspberry Fizz ink. I used a 2-way glue pen to add glitter accents to the castle. Small white flags were die-cut and stamped with the small daisy in Raspberry Fizz and finished with pink rhinestones.
Two sentiments from Little Princess were added to a strip of white cardstock using True Black & Raspberry Fizz inks. Small flourishes from Happy Day accent either end in True Black. I die-cut the Heart Border die from Raspberry Fizz felt and stitched in place.
The small trees that flank either side of the castle were created by trimming off a small portion of the bottom of the smallest leaf die from Sending You die collection. I stamped the tree with one of the patterns from Bitty Background Blocks using Ripe Avocado ink. I also stamped a bit of grass under each tree using the grass image from Love Lives Here.
I have one last project for you today using Tag-its #11.
I stamped several of the sentiments from the set down the right-hand edge of my kraft card base using Smokey Shadow ink. I highlighted each of the sentiments using black rhinestones.
I pleated True Black Gingham Ribbon down the edge of the card using Scor-tape.
I die-cut the scalloped circle from the Limitless Layers 1.75" Circle die collection from Pure Poppy cardstock. I stamped the heart frame from Tag-its #11 using Pure Poppy ink, adding the sentiment in True Black. I also added the arrow from Tag-its #11 to bring attention to the sentiment. I die-cut the Heart Border from vintage book print and adhered it along the bottom edge of the card for balance.
