I have been a long time fan of the bright floral patterns and motifs used by Amy Butler, Vera Bradley and other designers in many of the popular fabrics that can be found now.
I have designed a new stamp set for this month that will enable you to recreate many of these gorgeous looks with ease. With big & bold florals, stitched leaves and even some hexagon background building strips, your possibilities and combinations will multiply.
The details.
- Rosie Posie will be available for sale on December 15th.
- It will retail for $24.
- Rosie Posie contains a total of 17 stamps (3 large flowers, 4 small flowers, 2 large leaves, 2 small leaves, 2 flower centers and 3 hexagon background strips).
- A coordinating die collection will be available for sale separately, retailing for $14. It includes 3 dies: 3-1/2" x 2" (A), 2-3/4" x 2-1/2" (B), 4" x 3-1/2" (C).
Now onto the projects!
For my first project, I thought I would start with something bright & bold. Stamping on white cardstock, I used different elements from Rosie Posie to create this beautiful background. It's created with Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy and Ripe Avocado inks.
The sentiment from Think Big Favorites #6 was stamped with True Black onto a vellum cardstock strip and heat set. I trimmed the ends of the strip with pinking shears and attached it to my card with small stitches done with green embroidery floss.
To add a bit of texture to my project, I impressed my stamped background with the Moroccan Motifs Impression Plate. I love adding texture after stamping like this, it really gives cards with just a few layers a bit of extra oomph.
All of this was adhered to a Raspberry Fizz card base.
This card is a bit more soft and "earthy" when compared to the last. The backgroound was created, again. with the various elements of Rosie Posie. I stamped the posies in Summer Sunrise, the leaves in Ripe Avocado, small daisies in Fresh Snow and a layer of the hexagon background strip on top of all of that in VersaMark. The pattern was created on Harvest Gold cardstock, with the edges swiped with Tea Dye Duo.
For the focal point, I die-cut Rustic Cream cardstock with the Limitless Layers 2.25" circle die and stamped it with one of the motifs from Modern Wood Mats in Ripe Avocado. I added the sentiment from Take Note using Dark Chocolate ink. I colored the "a" circle in using a Summer Sunrise Copic.
Both sides of the focal point are flanked with a single portion of the new Filigree Border die trimmed out and added as an accent. Dark Chocolate buttons help to add weight and balance.
I added a strip of Summer Sunrise stitched ribbon underneath the focal point, adding a few extra loops in the middle for good measure. A kraft card base is used to anchor everything in place.
My next project is mini small-scaled creation, measuring in at 3-1/2" x 4-1/2".
I stamped the hexagon background strips using Haystack Palette ink on Fine Linen cardstock. When I was done, I trimmed the bottom edge of the caard into a zigzag pattern, following along with the edges of the hexagons.
I stamped the leaves with Ripe Avocado ink onto Rustic Cream cardstock trimming around the ends and also using a ruler and craft knife to trim everything up into a rectangle with leaf extensions. I die-cut Melon Berry cardstock with the coordinating dies and stamped the flowers from Rosie Posie with Berry Sorbet ink. Small adhesive pearls were added to the center of each flower.
The sentiment, from the new Love & Maarriage set, is stamped in the lower corner using True Black ink.
This dramatic card pairs up True Black & Canyon Clay to create a stunning card that will definitely grab your attention.
The background was stamped on Vintage Cream cardstock. The flowers were stamped in Canyon Clay, leaves in True Black and Background Basics: Newsprint was added on top of it all in Smokey Shadow.
For the focal point, I trimmed down a Mat Stack 4 die-cut and stamped it with the sentiment from Harvest Berries in True Black. I added pleated gingham ribbon to the bottom edge of the block using a strip of Scor-tape.
The new Filigree Border die was also worked in, only this time I left all the interior pieces intact. A small black rhinestone was added as an accent to each side.
All of this was attached to a Kraft card base.
I have one last card for you today, something soft and simple. I stamped flowers and leaves from Rosie Posie using Aqua Mist, Spring Rain & Spring Moss. I then used a watercolor brush & water to softern the flowers and make them look more artistic.
The sentiments, from Love & Marriage, were stamped in Smokey Shadow after the flowers had been allowed to dry. This was attached to a Spring Rain card base that had been accented by Polka Dot Basics II.
Now that you have seen some of my creations, let me show you some of the stunning creations the team has created using Rosie Posie.
