In addition to these amazing stamp sets, I also have a few new dies to introduce to you today.
We are kicking off a new series this month entitled the Cover Plate Collection. These dies measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and fit perfectly onto the cover of an A2 card. They will cut intricate patterns that can be used as an overlay on your card front. The best part is that you can layer a variety of things underneath them to peek through the openings. Patterned papers, contrasting cardstock or even the same color of cardstock to create an "embossed" look. The detail these dies create is amazing, and yet they take hardly any effort at all to create, just a few cranks through your die-cutting machine!

Now that all of the formal introductions are out of the way, let me show you some of the things I have created with this set!
For my first project I decided to par up Flower Fusion #10 & Think Big Favorites #10.
I started by stamping my own custom background. I started with Fine Linen cardstock and stamped the flowers from Flower Fusion #10 using Ocean Tides ink. I then added centers to the flowers using Summer Sunrise ink. A leaf from Turning a New Leaf was added using Ripe Avocado ink. The small flower from Flower Fusion #7 was added with Melon Berry ink. I used a gold paint pen to add small dots to the centers of the small flowers.
This beautiful sentiment from Think Big Favorites #10 was heat embossed with Gold Filigree Embossing powder onto Ocean Tides cardstock that was cut with a Half & Half die. I trimmed one end with pinking shears and wrapped it with some embroidery floss that was a good match for Melon Berry.
I used the gold paint pen again to trim the patterned background block with gold for a touch of elegance.
As soon as I saw the willow tree in Beth's new set, I knew I wanted to try pairing it up with Love Lives Here. I die-cut a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock with the Mega Mat Stack 1 die. I stamped the tree tops with Ripe Avocado ink and the trunks with Haystack Palette.
I stamped the house from Love Lives Here in Scarlet Jewel & Ocean Tides, finishing it off with a Sweet Blush heart stamped in the center. I added glitter to the heart with a 2-way glue pen. The sentiment, also from Love Lives Here, in Dark Chocolate ink.
To accent the sides of the focal point I cut strips of Autumn Rose cardstock and stamped them with BAckground Basics: Gingham using Scarlet Jewel ink. An Ocean Tides button finishes it off.
The background on the Kraft card base was stamped with Stitches & Swirls, a new set I will be sharing more about later in the week.
This card was inspired by the throw pillow inspiration photo at the very beginning of this post.
The background was created by cutting a Spring Moss layer with the new Cover Plate: Quatrefoil die and adhering it on top of a second Spring Moss layer. I love the detail & texture this adds to a single color background.
For the tree, I stamped the tree top in Spring Moss and added flowers (from Wreath for All Seasons) with Raspberry Fizz. The trunk was die-cut from Sweet Blush cardstock and stamped with Bitty Background Blocks in Raspberry Fizz as well. The sentiment, from Willow, was stamped in Smokey Shadow.
I added a pinked edge to the focal point and stitched it in place with my sewing machine. I also added a butterfly die-cut with the Happy Trails die from Linen Vellum.
For this project I thought I would pair up a stamped background with the Cover Plate: Quatrefoil die.
I die-cut Raspberry Fizz cardstock with the new die. As I said earlier, the detail you can achieve with this die is amazing.
I layered the die-cut cardstock with Enchanted evening cardstock. I then stamped elements from Mega Mehndi Medallion with Enchanted Evening ink in each of the openings.
I die-cut Flower Fusion #10 & the new Flower Fusion Stem die from white cardstock and stamped the stems in Smokey Shadow and the flowers in Raspberry Fizz. I added centers to the flowers using the same Mega Mehndi Medallion element from the background with Enchanted Evening ink. I cut a small strip of Enchanted Evening cardstock and added a sentiment from Glory Be using Fresh Snow ink.
This project showcases how a simple card with just a few layers can be just as stunning as something more elaborate. I stamped both the top and the bottom of the willow with Fresh Snow ink onto Kraft cardstock.
I filled in around the tree using the new Stitches & Swirls set stamped in Smokey Shadow ink. The edge of the Kraft block was swiped with Fresh Snow ink for added softness. On the Ocean Tides sentiment strip, I stamped lines from Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger using Enchanted Evening ink. I added the sentiment from Willow using Fresh Snow ink.
All of this was adhered to a Soft Stone card base.
For my last project today I thought I would put to use the fabulous, previously released Friends 'Til the End with the new coordinating dies.
I die-cut the largest flower from Pure Poppy cardstock and stamped the coordinating image with True Black ink. I stamped the flower a second time onto Orange Zest cardstock and punched out the center with a 1-1/8" circle punch. The smaller flower, is die-cut from Terracotta Tile cardstock and the center is punched out of Summer Sunrise cardstock with a 7/8" circle punch. The leaves were die-cut from Simply Chartreuse cardstock. I finished the flower centers with a few scattered black rhinestones.
I die-cut the Cover Plate: Quatrefoil pattern from True Black cardstock and layered it over some old book print turned vertically. The sentiment from Think Big Favorites #10 was added to a strip of Simply Chartreuse cardstock and stamped with True Black ink.
I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects that I have created for you today. As you can see, these products are extraordinarily versatile and add so much style to projects. They are a joy to work with and I am confident that they will get lots of use once they find their way into your studio. We would love to hear your thoughts on today's introductions. Is there something in particular that has caught your eye? What do you see yourself getting the most use from?
