Make It Monday #43: Ribbon Pleating

If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.

--A new Make It Monday Challenge & video will go up every Monday morning at 9am EST.

--Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge.  Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and features pleated ribbon.

--Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).

--Add your project to our --->InLinkz List HERE<---

--You will have until 7am, Monday, December 5th, to add your link to the list to be eligible to win.  And you can enter as many times as you like.

--We will be tweeting and posting on our Facebook page every night (between 5-9pm EST) highlighting a Featured Project.  These tweets/Facebook postings will just be a shout-out regarding projects that caught our eye.  The tweets/Facebook postings no longer have any special merit regarding the actual contest.

--One randomly selected winner will be chosen from ALL the entries on Monday, December 5th, after 7am.  The winner will be posted here on this blog post, on Twitter and Facebook.  The randomly selected winner will get to select a FREE Papertrey stamp set of their choice!

November 2011 Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the November Papertrey Blog Hop!  We are so thrilled to see you here!  First, the challenge...

For this month's blog hop inspiration we've selected something perfect for the upcoming holidays.  Embrace the festive red and green color scheme or perhaps the gingham and toile patterns that are prominent.  The ice skates, evergreens and snowflakes used to adorn the banister could possibly be another source of inspiration.  We look forward to seeing all of your interpretations of this beautiful photo!

I have included an inlinkz list below for you to add your link to your blog hop project.  This new type of link list will allow you to select a thumbnail to go along with your link, making it easy to go back and find a project later that might have perked your interest.

EDITED TO ADD RANDOMLY SELECTED WINNERS:

Michele aka DerbyLea focused on the red and white color scheme and added a Christmas Tree focal point to emphasizer the greenery found in the inspiration photo.  I love the rhinestones she added as lights to the tree.  So very festive!

Tammy created a beautiful background with the new Cover Plate: Quatrefoil die and a small snowflake image.  The background she was able to create is beautiful and perfectly sets off the sentiment.

Kathy Mc (bdlakebum) used the stamp set On Ice to replicate the look of the ice skates dangling from the railing in the inspiration photo.  All of the wonderful textures and patterns to combined for the background are a perfect combination.

Congratulations to all three of the winners!  Be sure to email customer service with your FREE stamp set selection so we can get your well-deserved prize out to you!  And a big thank you to everyone who played along!  Everyone's creations were absolutely stunning!

November Blog Hop Today!

Today we are excited to present the BIG monthly Blog Hop that Papertrey Ink hosts for all of it's talented customers to show off their skills! 

The Blog Hop is an ALL DAY EVENT!  A new link list will be posted here on my blog at 10am EST and you can add your link anytime up until 11:30pm EST.  And don't worry if you aren't going to get a chance to make a project and play along, there will be a contest for non-participants as well over in our forum in the designated thread. November 2011 Release in Review

Welcome to our first edition of  Release in Review.  This post will be replacing the traditional "Day After" post that I normally do the morning following a release.  I will instead be sharing my favorites with you on release night and linking to each team member's blog where they will be showcasing all of their release projects for you.

Ashley Cannon Newell made an incredible project with  the new Tiny Tags II set.  Her color scheme and pattern matching is out of this world!

Betsy Veldman mixed & matched the numbers in Birthdays by the Numbers with a rainbow of colors for this bright & festive birthday card.

Danielle Flanders used the new Flower Fusion #10 and Think Big Favorites #10 to perfection on this cheerful card set.  Her color combinations and random stitching are just amazing together!

Dawn McVey created a fabulous medallion with lots of layers using Mega Mehndi Medallion.  I love how she worked in Flower Fusion #10 & Glory Be sentiments as well!

Debbie Olson wowed me with her Willow creation.  The softness is truly breathtaking.  And the Background Basics: Circles strips in the back add perfect balance.

Erin Lincoln created a lovely birthday card by pairing up the new Block Alphabet die and Background Basics: Circles, as well as the Cloud dies.  I love how she left spaces between her stamped strips to allow for the die-cut letters!  Just fabulous!

Jessica Witty is a genius when it comes to using clear cardstock and this card is certainly no exception!  I love all the layers that make up the cupcake ad well as the embossed sentiment!

Lisa Johnson took stamping to a whole new level with this stunning card.  I love all of the strips in the background and how she made each one so unique.  The colors are just wonderful as well.

Maile Belles always makes an amazing impression with as little on a card as possible!  I love the simplicity of this project as well as the colors.  Background Basics: Circles can really transform nearly any set!

Melissa Phillips made this amazing little piece of art using Tiny Tags II.  I love how she paired up gingham and stripes.  Just so eye-catching and fabulous!

Michelle Wooderson used Stitches & Swirls to create this homespun project.  She paired it up with the new Block Alphabet dies and stitched buttons to complete the look.
