Now that I have made all of these formal introductions, let's move onto the projects!
First, a project that uses that dainty little Tag-its #5 frame.
I discovered that two of the flowers in Tag-its #5 fit PERFECTLY in the little vases from Gracious Vases. I stamped the vase in Aqua Mist first. And then used selective inking on the flower using New Leaf and Hawaiian Shores. The frame was stamped in New Leaf as well and the sentiment in True Black. The finished focal point was punched out with a scalloped circle punch. I created a border strip with New Leaf and Background Basics: Gingham, followed by a piece of New Leaf Grosgrain. A little pinking edge detail finishes it off.
I thought the Edgers #2 die would coordinate perfectly with the laciness of the frame. I die-cut the bottom edge of my Hawaiian Shores card using it.
Adding different decorative edges to elements of my project really helps to make it more cohesive.
Next, a wedding card in a sophisticated black & cream color scheme.
I die-cut Mat Stack 1 from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped the frame from Mat Stack 1 Collection in True Black. I then added the lace frame from Tag-its #5 to the center followed by the wedding sentiment. The small flower cluster image from the same set was added to the side. I then stamped two flowers from Daydreamer on a scrap of Vintage Cream cardstock, cut them out and adhered them to the side of the frame.
I stamped the stripes from Mat Stack 1 Collection on strips of Vintage Cream cardstock and added the to either side of the frame. Small black rhinestones accent the sides of the frame. It's hard to tell in these photos, but the black cardstock background was embossed with the Damask DDesigns Impression Plate.
Now a little something using Flower Fusion.
I stamped the stems in Spring Moss and then the solid flowers in Sweet Blush. I discovered that the dandelion-style flowers from Daydreamer fit perfectly as their centers. These were stamped in Hibiscus Burst. I adhered epoxy stickers to the centers of the flowers for added detail.
The "thank you" sentiment from Think Big Favorites #5 was added underneath the flowers using Smokey Shadow ink. I also added two lines of stitching with my sewing machine and finished the bottom edge with my pinking shears.
I needed to carry my color scheme a bit farther, s I created this little scrap of ribbon to coordinate. I added the stripes to Vintage Cream Satin ribbon using Copic Markers. The Spring Moss button was tied with Vintage Cream twine and adhered in place with a glue dot.
A simple card that is kept interesting with a few unique details.
This project pairs up some fun bright colors: Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise & Simply Chartreuse.
I die-cut Fillable Frames #10 from a strip of Berry Sorbet cardstock and stamped is with Polka Dot Basics using VersaMark ink. After marking my place, I heat embossed the sentiment from Flower Fusion #5 onto my Kraft card base using White Filigree embossing powder.
I die-cut the Flower Fusion #5 flower from white cardstock and then stamped it with the coordinating image in Summer Sunrise. I punched out a 1/2" circle from Simply Chartreuse cardstock and stamped it with Background Basics: Gingham using VersaMark ink. This was adhered to the center of the flower, competed with a single rhinestone. I stamped the leaves on Simply Chartreuse cardstock, trimmed them out and adhered them under the edges of the flower.
I die-cut the XL Rickrack border die from Summer Sunrise cardstock and adhered the strips to both the back and front edges of the card for an extra pop.
This project showcases how you can use Flower Fusion #5 to create some incredible background paper!
I filled my Vintage Cream cardstock with the solid flower image from the set using Aqua Mist ink.
I then added the spiral flower with SImply Chartreuse ink in between each of those.
Finally, I added the flower centers with Hawaiian Shores ink. Isn't it gorgeous?!??
This beautiful flower is from Daydreamer. I stamped the stem in Simply Chartreuse ink and then added the flower. It was inked with Aqua Mist and then the top edge was rolled in Hawaiian Shores ink. "Congrats" from Think Big Favorites #5 was added in Hawaiian Shores. I was able to pair this big sentiment with a line from Big & Bold Wishes.
The end of the sentiment strip was wrapped with black embroidery floss to help balance the black int eh sentiment.
I love the way the background paper turned out for this project and I look forward to making more additional color combinations!
Now for a few projects using Daydreamer. I've always loved the ease of solid multi-step floral sets. They make it so easy to incorporate different color combinations and fill lots of space. This set does the job perfectly!
This sentiment from the set is one of my favorites. I heat embossed it with White Filigree Embossing Powder to make it pop from the Royal Velvet card base.
The stems and leaves were stamped in Ripe Avocado and the flowers in Elegant Eggplant (SU!) and Spring Rain. After I completed the stamping, I ran the focal point through my Big shot with the Woodgrain Impression Plate.
Now for something with a bit of a softer side. I die-cut Mat Stack 5 from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped flowers from Daydreamer with Hibiscus Burst ink. I then added the leaves using Spring Moss. The Think Big Favorites #4 sentiment was added with True Black.
I impressed the card front panel with the Damask Designs impression plate and adhered it to my card cover. I then used two different black pens (Precision Pens from American Crafts) to draw a frame around the panel with a ruler.
Here I have mixed and matched several bright colors to build an entire scene with Daydreamer.
the grass and leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse. The various flowers were added using Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise & Terracotta Tile. I added yellow flock to the Summer Sunrise blooms for a fun texture.
The sentiment was added int he corner with True Black and the entire focal point was adhered to a Pure Poppy card base.
This project uses the modern-style dandelions to help frame the meaningful sentiment.
The stems and leaves were stamped in Spring Moss and the flowers in Raspberry Fizz. A small rhinestone was added to the center of each flower for a little extra pop. I trimmed the bottom edge with pinking shears and added a few lines of random stitching with my sewing machine.
The sentiment was added with Smokey Shadow ink.
A very soft, pretty piece of art that will truly make someone's day!
For my last project today I thought I would use the new Vintage Picnic Basket die.
I die-cut the basket from the Harvest Gold paper from the new Damask Designs paper pad and stamped the basket image using Smokey Shadow ink. I then used the Harvest Gold Copic Trio to add just a bit more depth to the details of the basket. I die-cut Kraft cardstock with an Angled Labels die and stamped the coordinating frame from Label Basics with Fresh Snow ink. I marked where my basket would go with pencil and stamped the daisy filler image. I colored the leaves & flower centers with Copics and used a white colored pencil to color in the petals. I then stamped Background Basics: Newsprint over the colored image using VersaMark.
The basket was adhered in place with foam dimensionals.
The sentiment (from Big & Bold Wishes) was added to a strip of Harvest Gold cardstock using Dark Chocolate ink. I added an embossed line above and below with my Scor-buddy. A bit of twine was tied around the end of the strip. The bottom edge of the card front was finished with pinking shears.
