Welcome back to day two of the March 2011 Release! I am thrilled to hear all of your responses to our first introductions! We have even more amazing goodies to share with you today, so let's get started!
Heather Nichols has three amazing stamp sets being released this month! All three are versatile basics that will allow you to mix and match with many things in your existing collection.
First up is a little set that Heather designed to coordinate with the popular Double Ended Banner die, but don't let that description limit the possibilities in your mind. The three decorative strips in the set are the perfect width to turn cardstock cut with the Double Ended Banner die into ribbon looking strips You will also love using them as banners and more. The sentiments in the set are scaled in such a way that they can be layered onto the decorative strips or used alone. You will LOVE all the options!
The details.
- Ribbon Tails will be available for sale on March 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- Ribbon Tails contains a total of 9 stamps (3 patterned strips and 6 sentiments)
- The pattern strips are about 3/4" x 5" each, making them the perfect length to coordinate with the Double Ended Banners die, yet with enough wiggle room to allow you to place the pattern accurately onto the die shapes.
Next, the popular Tag-its line-up has a new addition that you simply won't want to miss. Tag-its #2 features a fabulous polka-dotted frame that will coordinate with the Limitless Layers 1.75" Circle die collection. The 5 companion images nod to spring and have a wonderful style about them. Throw in some sentiments with a fun font combination, and you have everything you could want from a $5 set!

Now, onto some fun projects!
This first project showcases all three of the pattern strips included in the new Ribbon Tails stamp set.
I die-cut three Double Ended Banner strips from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped each one with a different pattern strip using Aqua Mist ink. There is a floral, a stitched and a polka-dot.
For the tag, I started by stamping one of the Label Basics frames with Spring Moss ink and punched out with a 1-1/4" circle punch. I added the floral image from Tag-its #2 using Aqua Mist ink followed by the sentiment in True Black ink.
This time I used the Ribbon Tails strips at their full-size to create these fun borders/frames.
I stamped the stitched strip twice in Berry Sorbet and once in Summer Sunrise onto white cardstock. I trimmed along the edges of both the Berry Sorbet pieces, but cut the Summer Sunrise strip in half lengthwise. I then mitered the ends so that they would meet perfectly when put together.
Such a stylish look that is so easy to achieve.
Before I adhered the strips in place, I stamped a few Year of Flowers: Violets in the background using Smokey Shadow ink. I highlighted the edges of the flowers with a T1 Copic marker. The sentiment (also from Ribbon Tails) was added above the strips with black ink.
I highlighted the sentiment with a few rhinestones.
Next, something a bit vintage.
I stamped the polka-dot frame from Tag-its #2 with Fresh Snow ink onto a die-cut 1.75" circle of Kraft cardstock. I then added the small branch image as well as the sentiment to the center. I die-cut a Double Ended Banner strip from white cardstock and stamped it with the stitched strip from Ribbon Tails using Pure Poppy ink. This was adhered behind the tag image.
I die-cut a Doily Details shape from white cardstock and added it behind the entire focal point. The background is made from patterned paper that will be part of an amazing collection this month (more about this later) as well as a strip of old book print that I tore from an old book. Before I adhered it, I stamped it with Polka Dot Basics II using Pure Poppy ink.
Now, a simple card with bright, cheerful colors.
I used the polka-dot frame from Tag-its #2 & a 1.75" circle die to create extra large scallops. The frames were stamped on Raspberry Fizz cardstock with Versamark ink and adhered along the edge of a white card base.
I wanted to use the new Vineyard Impression Plate to jazz up the background a bit. I first experimented with the regular impressed pattern side of the plate, and loved the results.
But then I tried the reverse side of the plate and thought it would suit my project better. Isn't the detail amazing on both sides?
I used the new Background Basics: Twinkle set on Hawaiian Shores cardstock with Fresh Snow ink. Don't you just LOVE this? So delicate and so beautiful.
I adhered the Simply Chartreuse impressed cardstock to the top portion of the card and finished by adding a strip of the Background Basics: Twinkle paper I created.
Next up, a little something for spring!
I stamped the Tag0its #2 frame at the corner of the card front using Hibiscus Burst ink. I then added the butterfly with Aqua Mist ink, followed by the sentiment in Smokey Shadow. I trimmed the edges of the butterfly with a craft knife so that I could fold up the wings a bit for added detail.
An extra butterfly was cut out and added to the edge of the frame. I die-cut cardstock with the Double Ended Banner die and stamped it with the new Background Basics: Gingham stamp using Aqua Mist ink.
I finished the card with a Hibiscus Burst button tied in place with floss.
Last but certainly not least, a little Rainbow Trio for you.
This amazingly simple card design was super easy to mass-produce and is appropriate for almost any recipient.
I stamped the floral strip from Ribbon Tails repeatedly down the length of white cardstock using a rainbow of colors.
I then cut that into strips to create these beautiful rainbow accent borders.
the sentiment blocks were cut out with the new Angled Labels die and stamped with one fo the frames from Label Basics. The sentiments are all from Ribbon Tails as well.
As a finishing touch, I added a 1/8" strip of Scor-tape along the bottom of each card and sprinkled it with glitter! So pretty and so colorful!
I hope you have enjoyed all of today's projects! I know I had a blast creating them! We would love to hear your initial thoughts on all of the products introduced! Share your comments for a chance to win an amazing prize package!
