I want to start out today by thanking all of the wonderful customers that have come out to celebrate our 4th anniversary with us! The response to the very first day of festivities was truly overwhelming and we are just thrilled to see so many people participating!
As I mentioned yesterday, the last few years have brought us much success, due partly to the fabulous team of people that surrounds and supports us. The stamp designers that contribute artwork to our product line each year definitely fall into that category and cannot go without mention!
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each of this talented ladies. They've also taken the time to each share a very special project with all of you, something you definitely will not want to miss!
First, a new contributor who you are actually already quite familiar with!
Maile Belles, who has been part of our design team for just over a year now, has dedicated herself to learning all of the complexities of stamp design! Her signature style found in her paper crafting projects is so unique, and you should look forward to seeing those exact traits carry over into her stamp designing as well! Maile's first set will be debuting in our March release, so be sure to keep an eye out for what is to come! We are so excited to have you on board, Maile and we wish you all the luck with your upcoming release!

Alli Miles has contributed some amazing artwork for this year and I know you will be pleased to have the opportunity to own more of her art! Alli has a way of mixing modern basics with whimsy that's second to none... she always impresses me with her ability to pair such opposing characteristics together. Her eye for design is such an amazing asset for us to tap into and we are looking forward to what the coming year holds for her! Thank you for all you do, Alli, despite the hardships and changes you have experienced lately! We appreciate you so much!

Beth Silaika is joining us for another year as well, with lots of exciting sets coming your way that touch upon her signature "doodle" style. Her stamps hold some of the biggest doses of personality in our collection, making it a joy to use her images. They really bring a project to life. It still amazes me that Beth can contribute as much as she does even with her "six-pack" to take care of at home. Thank you for joining us for another year, Beth! We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you again this year!

Dawn McVey has been a heavy hitter when it comes to stamp design, since she began her journey with us over two years ago. I have a great respect for Dawn and her work ethic, her willingness to always go the extra mile, to make changes at the last minute, to work under pressure. Another attribute is the way she keeps a finger on the pulse of the stamping industry, anticipating what trends might be coming and thinking about how she can incorporate those into her designs. We are honored that Dawn has chosen to contribute her designs to us this year and we are looking forward to brining them all to you!

Heather Nichols is coming on board for another year as well and I couldn't possibly be more excited about what she will be presenting to all of you in 2011. Heather is so thorough with her design process, thinking about every detail, thinking about how the stamps will be used together, how they can coordinate with existing tools as well as images from other sets. This knack she has will be seen in several of the sets we will be introducing this year from her and I just know all of you will be so thrilled with what is to come from Heather! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Heather, for all you do!!!!

Lisa Johnson has contributed some really unique designs for next year as well! One thing that Lisa brings to each of her sets is an amazing value. She utilizes every inch of space on the stamp sheet, thinking of small ways she can increase the versatility of a set. She analyzes and weighs the importance of each image and pairs that with it's importance to the set overall. It is sometimes easy to look at one of her sets and not realize the time and energy she puts into these characteristics, but I just wanted to let her know today that it is one of the traits that make her such a successful designer with us. Thank you for all you do, Lisa, as well as your dedication to excellence!

Melissa Bickford will be joining us in 2011 with several sets and a few series that will quickly climb to "must-have" status on your wish lists! I have a true love for the simplicity and basic designs that Melissa includes in her sets. Often times things can be used for things other than their original intention, which always one of the most fun things about stamping. Melissa really dedicated herself to her submissions this year and it shows. I am so looking forward to having the opportunity to work with some of her new sets, and I know you will be smitten with them as well as soon as you set eyes on 'em! Thank ou, thank you, thank you Melissa, for all you do and all you continue to do!!!!

Tiffany Pastor is geared up for another year of stamp releases and her designs have truly pushed the envelope this year. She has created a few sets that will really fill a void and bring some innovation into the Papertrey 2011 line-up. Her style is a little bit of modern paired with a little bit of vintage, which she pairs together like a perfect marriage. She is a passionate designer that has a lot to bring to the table and I am excited to work with her further this year. Thank you for everything, Tiffany! Your designs are like a breath of fresh air and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working with you!

Before I continue on, I thought I would also share that both Niki Estes & Becky Oehlers made the decision to not design any new submissions for 2011. However, we are hopeful that perhaps we might see some new contributions from them in 2012!
In the meantime, since the rest of the gals took this opportunity to share a special project wit you, I thought I would as well.
I created a fun little birthday card with an offset front cover and lots of sparkly glitter! You can just never go wrong with pairing up a birthday card with anything that sparkles!
I cut Hawaiian Shores cardstock with my Mat Stack 5 die and stamped it with the coordinating frame from Tiny Treats: Birthday using VersaMark ink.
The dots were punched out of Aqua Mist cardstock using 7/8" & 5/8" circle punches. I then ran the circles through my Xyron Sticker Maker to apply an even coat of adhesive to them and sprinkled them with Prisma Glitter. They are adhered randomly to the cover.
The focal point frame is adhered so it overlaps over the edge of the card cover, which was cut about 1" shorter than the back. A scrap of Aqua Mist Grosgrain Ribbon was added and wrapped around to the back to add a bit of texture.
Now that you've seen all of our special projects that we've designed for you today, you may be thinking that you don't recognize the focal points from anything in our current collection. That would be because the stamp designers have created a special FREE download containing nine tag images for you to use on projects to your heart's content!
CLICK HERE......>Download PTI Anniversary Tag Download<......
To use these, simply print them onto cardstock and you're good to go! If your printer tends to not accept cardstock well, you can go ahead and print the images on a matte photo paper or vellum and use the images that way. All nine of the images on the sheet will coordinate with a 1-3/4" circle punch or our Limitless Layers 1-3/4" Circle die Collection, making them easy to use and incorporate into almost any project!
There are two ways to be entered into today's contest where one randomly selected winner will be chosen. You can do one or the other for a chance to win, or do both to double your chances!
- Download and print the FREE images that we have provided above. Print them out from your computer and use one of them on a project
- Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).
- Add the direct link to your project on our Inlinkz list......>HERE<......
- You have until 7am EST, Monday, February 7th to add your link and qualify for the contest.
- Feel free to create more than one project, therefore allowing you to utilize more than one of the free images (we just know you won't be able to resist!) Each customer may add one link per project they create, not to exceed nine projects/links total (one per image provided in the download).
- And/or you can leave a comment here letting us know what kinds of stamp sets you might be looking for this year from Papertrey Ink.
- You have until 7am EST, Monday, February 7th to add your comment to this post and qualify for the contest. (Just click the small "comments" link in blue beside the date in the footer of this post)
You may be wondering what's up for grabs if you participate in today's contest. Well, it's something a bit different, more of an experience than a typical prize, but experts say that "experiences" make the best gifts!
The randomly selected winner that is chosen from the entries in this contest will win the opportunity to be our Guest Stamp Designer. This person will be able to help conceptualize a stamp set with me, allowing their "dream" stamp set to come to life!
The winner and I will exchange sketches and ideas while I physically design the stamp set that you've always wanted. And don't worry if you don't like to draw, I'll be handling that part! You just need to let me know what you would like to see included in the set!
The stamp set we create together will be released in May. The winner will receive one of the very first copies of the stamp set they helped to bring to life and be involved with creating projects for the countdown that month, if they choose!
This is an amazing opportunity and I look forward to working with the winner on this very special project!
- This contest will end at 7am EST, Monday, February 7th.
- Only one comment per person and/or up to nine links per person (for a total of up to ten entries per person)
- One randomly selected winner will be announced no later than noon EST that day on our February 2011 Release Winners Page.
Thank you for stopping by today and good luck to everyone on the contest! And we hope to see you back on day three of this fabulous 4th anniversary celebration! You won't want to miss our announcement tomorrow!
