Here we are, the very first day of the October countdown! We have so many exciting things to share with you this month, I am practically bursting at the seams with new products, a few surprises and much more. I know all of you are going to have such a fantastic time checking in on all of the new offerings this week! Be forewarned though, you'll need to hold onto your hats!
The first set I have the honor of introducing to you today is a little number by Alli Miles, entitled Holiday Sparkle. The set includes several holiday-themed images that have blank openings to allow accents to be added with rhinestones, glitter and SO much more. You will love all of the customization that is possible, really allowing you to have fun and PLAY with these images!
The details.
- Holiday Sparkle will be available for purchase on October 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- Holiday Sparkle contains a total of 15 stamps (1 border, 6 holiday images, 4 companion accents and 4 sentiments)
Next is a little sentiment set I designed as a follow-up to the popular Big & Bold Wishes. This one has a holiday spin and has some fabulous sentiment combinations that will take your projects to the next level.
The details.
- Big & Bold Holiday Wishes will be available for purchase on October 15th.
- It will retail for $24.
- Big & Bold Holiday Wishes contains a total of 25 stamps (7 big & bold sentiments, 15 companion sentiments, 1 flourish and 2 accents)
I also have some new dies to introduce to you today. Dawn McVey has designed a collection of three dies to coordinate with the previously released Vintage Ornaments stamp set.
The details.
- The Vintage Ornaments Die Collection will be available for purchase on October 15th.
- It will retail for $9.
- The Vintage Ornaments Die Collection contains a total of 3 dies, one for each of the ornament shapes in the previously released Vintage Ornaments stamp set.
- These dies work perfectly with the images from the stamp set, but they also look fabulous when used alone or embellished with other sets, as you will see below.
Now that I have all of the formalities out of the way, lets get into the projects!
First, I have a fun & festive reindeer project to show you!
This cute little guy is one of the adorable images that Alli has created for this set. I stamped him in Noir Black and colored him in with Dark Chocolate Copics, followed with a few shadows using T1.
I then added a red rhinestone for his nose and drew in his two eyes with a black pen. The eyes were omitted from the stamp image to allow you versatility, which I am confident Alli will be showcasing more of as the week wears on!
Here's the finished little guy. Isn't he the cutest ever!
The focal point was matted onto Pure Poppy Bitty Star Paper.
The sentiments were added from Big & Bold Holiday Wishes.
A bit of Pure Poppy Baker's Twine was wrapped around the top of the sentiment strip to finish the card off.
Here is a project using the new Vintage Ornament dies.
I dies cut two of the ornaments from Hawaiian Shores & Simply Chartreuse cardstock. I then added images from Holiday Sparkle and heat set them with Filigree White Embossing Powder.
The snowflake image on the Hawaiian Shores ornament is one of my very favorite images from this set, especially after you add the rhinestones to it.
I heat embossed branches from Turning a New Leaf on the Kraft background. A line of stitching on my sewing machine helps to hold each ornament in place.
This is a super simple card that is appropriate for any recipient, no matter what their beliefs or holiday traditions are.
I stamped "Warmest" from Big & Bold Holiday Wishes in Enchanted Evening, followed by the greenery image from Holiday Sparkle in Ripe Avocado.
Three rhinestones finish of the image perfectly. I was also able to add the companion sentiment from Big & Bold Holiday Wishes using a kraft cardstock strip. A block of Enchanted Evening Bitty Dot paper was added to help ground the entire focal point.
The background of the card was created with the new Holly Jolly set (more about that later in the week).
I am totally in love with this simple, classy card.
The tree image has openings for embellishments, and I chose to use adhesive pearls in my application. I heat embossed the tree and sentiment with Filigree Gold Embossing Powder.
A thin mat of gold shimmer cardstock helps to accent the central focal point and ground the sentiment.
I thought it would be fun to show you a year-round card using Holiday Sparkle.
I stamped this "ornament border" with True Black ink.
I then prepared some clear rhinestones by coloring them with a variety of Copic markers. I am certainly not the first one to do this, but it is always nice to be reminded of what the options are, because we often times forget what we've learned in the past!
I colored a strip of white cardstock in graduated sections using the same Copics I used on the rhinestones and trimmed it down to be used as a border. The stars were punched from white cardstock and then covered in Prisma Glitter.
The sentiment (from Fillable Frames #8) was stamped in black over the Copic border.
Polka Dot Basics II was used on the Smokey Shadow card base to add a fun background element. I think the overall project is bright, bold and unique!
I hope you enjoyed all of todays projects! I had an absolute blast creating them (picture me with the Christmas music blaring in the background!)
