Hello everyone! Welcome to the very first day of the September release countdown! All of us here at Papertrey Ink are just head over heels about this month's new products and we can hardly wait to show you everything that we have been up to behind the scenes!
Today I get to introduce you to not one, but TWO amazing stamp sets that I just know you will be completely smitten with!
The first is a versatile wreath building set that I designed to fill a need in my own stamping arsenal! For years I have wanted images such as these and I am so thrilled to finally have them. The set includes two types of wreaths, one leaf wreath and one twig wreath. Both wreaths have berry overlays as separate images so you are able to use an additional color. Not only can these wreaths be used for the upcoming holidays, but other seasons as well.
The details.
- Wreath For All Seasons will be available for purchase on September 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- Wreath For All Seasons contains a total of 17 stamps (2 wreaths, 1 large berry overlay for the twig wreath, 2 berry clusters for the leaf wreath, 1 small flower image that can be used on both wreaths and 11 sentiments)
The second set I am introducing to you today is a wonderful sentiment set designed by Alli Miles. Holiday Spirit Sentiments uses a stunning font combination and has several mix & match options within the set. They are the perfect finishing touch for any holiday project that needs a unique sentiment to finish it off.
The details.
- Holiday Spirit Sentiments will be available for purchase on September 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- Holiday Spirit Sentiments contains a total of 15 sentiment stamps.
I also have a new die to introduce. The first in an entire line we are calling Tag Sale. This series of tag dies will be an incredible basic you can turn to again and again. They will all be large in scale because that is what I have always had difficulty finding in my own search for the perfect dies. This first die in the series is based on the popular Bookmark die we released a few months ago. It measures 2" x 3.75" so it can be used to tag a gift bag or as a card focal point basis, similar to our Mat Stack collection.
The details.
- The Tag Sale #1 Die will be available for purchase on September 15th.
- It will retail for $6.
- The Tag Sale #1 Die measures approximately 2" x 3.75" and includes a small reinforcement ring for the hole of the tag that can be cut-out in a contrasting color.
Here is a photo of how the new Tag Sale #1 die compares to the previously released Bookmark Die.
Now that I have all of these introductions out of the way, let's get onto the fun projects!
This first project uses one of my favorite color schemes, Ocean Tides & Spring Moss.
I discovered that the wreaths coordinate well with the Mat Stack 3 die, which I totally love. I stamped the leaf wreath here in white ink. One of the features I integrated into the design of this wreath is pre-established opening to add the berries. I love a detail like this so it's easier to create a perfectly balanced image every time, without any extra work. Instead of using the coordinating berry image on this project though, I opted to use some clear rhinestones.
I stamped the sentiment, from Holiday Spirit Sentiments, in Smokey Shadow ink. The white cardstock strip is a perfect complement to the Mat Stack 3 shape.
For the Spring Moss background I used our new Background Basics: Diamonds Impression Plate. ***swoon*** Cannot even BEGIN to tell you how much I love this product! (More about it later on this week!)
A very simple card, yet striking! Not to mention easy to mail!
Next up is the same leaf wreath image, only this time used in conjunction with the separate berry images.
I stamped the wreath with Ripe Avocado and the berries with Pure Poppy. I love how easy this is to use and how perfect the results are. The wreath is stamped on a piece of Rustic Cream cardstock cut with our Mat Stack 4 die.
Next, I added a sentiment from Wreath for All Seasons using True Black ink. I kept the wreath design simple so that sentiments like this one would show up well when layered on top of it.
I used the reverse side of the Background Basics: Diamonds Impression Plate to create a background pattern with my Ripe Avocado cardstock.
As a finishing touch, I looped some Pure Poppy grosgrain ribbon under the focal point, which gives it drama and dimension.
This card would be so incredibly easy to mass-produce, not to mention inexpensive as well.
My next project uses the same wreath again, this time on the new Tag Sale #1 shape.
I die-cut the tag from Stamper's Select White cardstock then stamped the wreath with Spring Moss ink.
The berries were then added with Scarlet Jewel ink.
One of the FABULOUS verses from Holiday Spirit Sentiments was added over the wreath using True Black ink. I love how this came together.
I added a bit of glitter to the berries using my 2-way glue pen. A Scarlet Jewel button is added to the tag with a bit of Rustic Jute Button Twine.
For the background, I stamped a few leaves from Turning a New Leaf using Versamark ink. Sometimes it is fun to remind yourself that you don't always have to fill an entire background with pattern, just a corner can sometimes be enough.
I distressed the edges of the cover mat a bit with my fingers and adhered it to my Scarlet Jewel card base. Doing a monochromatic layer like this can really add some extra punch, without being too much.
I've shown you a few Christmas cards, now how about an autumn one? And it just so happens to use the second wreath in the set.
I started by stamping the twig leaf with Dark Chocolate ink.
I then added this berry overlay using Terracotta Tile ink.
And here's a little trick. After you stamp the berries one, rotate your stamp about 45-degrees and stamp again without re-inking. The faded look of the second stamping helps to make the wreath more realistic.
The sentiment, also from Wreath for All Seasons, i heat embossed with Gold Filigree embossing powder. I love how rich the gold looks with Terracotta Tile.
I used the Background Basics: Diamonds Impression Plate again on this project. *sigh* doesn't that just make you so happy?!?!?
The same card could be recreated in a variety of different colors to suit the season.
This project is super simple, but definitely dramatic.
I decided to use the twig wreath by itself without the berry overlay and heat emboss it with Filigree Gold Embossing Powder.
The sentiment "Rejoice" is another treasure from Holiday Spirit Sentiments. I embossed the edges of the focal point with my Scor-buddy, which helped keep the focal point from being to boring.
I have yet another holiday card fro you, this one using the twig wreath.
I stamped the kraft card base with Background Basics: Tin Types using Fresh Snow ink.
The twig portion was stamped in Dark Chocolate and the berries in Pure Poppy. Very festive, don't you think?
The sentiment is another from Holiday Spirit Sentiments, which is stamped on the strip of Pure Poppy cardstock using Vintage Cream ink.
A bit of Tea Dye Duo is swiped across the edges to give it a more vintage feel.
Now, how about the same exact card, just done in a different color scheme in honor of a different season?
For some reason my sentiment didn't photograph very clearly in the first full-card photo, so here is a separate closeup of the sentiment, from Wreath for All Seasons. Stamped in Vintage Cream on Spring Moss cardstock.
This time, the wreath was stamped with Spring Moss ink.
I added the berries in Lemon Tart.
Then finally, I added this small flower from the set using Sweet Blush. I love how fresh and different this wreath is compared to the holiday project above, that I was inspired by.
Gotta love the single button tied with twine.
I hope you enjoyed all of the wonderful things I introduced to you today! I certainly enjoyed creating with them! We would love to hear your initial thoughts on these stamp sets and the new Tag Sale die line-up! You could have a chance at winning a fun prize package just for chiming in!
