I am so thrilled to be back again today with yet even MORE exciting new products to share with all of you!
I'm sure you have noticed just how busy Heather Nichols has been this year with product development. This month she is introducing so many new things, I am sure you will be incredibly inspired by her talent. This month marks another addition to her popular Mini Scrapbook Series. This new collection embraces the ledger style prints that are all the rage right now in paper crafting. There are three elements to the collection, which are also sold separately.
It all starts with an amazing "ledger" building stamp set. You'll have everything you need to create your own ledger & notebook styled backgrounds and patterns. As well as few out-of-the-box options which you will see more of a bit later!
The details.
- The Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger stamp set will be available for purchase on June 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- The Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger stamp set contains a total of 30 stamps (4 ledger building background strips, 12 month abbreviations, 11 years {2000-2010}, and 3 small companion words).
To continue with the collection, there is also a beautiful patterned paper collection, featuring several ledger-styled backgrounds as well as few sheets of neutral stripes & dots. The entire collection is printed on Vintage Cream paper, which gives it a wonderful warmth & depth. It contains elements of a brown that can coordinate well with either Dark Chocolate or Kraft as well as hints of Aqua Mist.

With all these fabulous elements, aren't you just ready to get started?
Heather's new kit inspired me so much I actually decided to get a little scrappy and create a little mini book celebrating some of the most memorable summer days from my childhood. This went together so easily and I am thrilled with how it turned out. Let me show you how easy it was to create, step by step!
I die-cut five Library Card Pages from Ocean Tides cardstock. I then stamped the ledger image along the bottom edge of each page using Versamark ink.
I then added the title line at the top using Dark Chocolate ink.
The last step of the background was adding two rows of text in Vintage Cream ink using Text Style II.
Using the pretty polka-dotted paper from Heather's collection, I die-cut scalloped borders using our small Scalloped Border die. I swiped just a bit of Chai Tea Dye Duo ink around the edges to emphasize the scalloped shape.
I took a ledger page from the paper pad and cut it up into strips that allows them to each feature three numbered lines. You can get SO many of these just from a single sheet!
Here is the completed page. Notice that the ledger strip was adhered on top of the scalloped strip. I love doing layering like this. It adds so much to a project!
An Aqua Mist button is tied with silk ribbon. I tinted one long edge of the ribbon with an Aqua Mist Copic marker. Love the way this helps to tie the ribbon into the project better in a soft & subtly way.
I stamped the title with Fresh Alphabet using Vintage Cream ink. I used my own handwriting for the subtitle and the year. The date and month stamps are from the main Library Ledger set and give you lots of possibilities.
Here's all five of my completed photo pages.
I decided to create clear overlays for each page using our Clear Cardstock. I combined the frame and one of the sentiments from Fillable Frames #5 on each page. I then added the number portion with Fresh Alphabet.
I used Vintage Cream ink to stamp all these. They require a slight heat set. Just remember to keep your heat gun moving at all times so you don't warp the pages too badly.
I assembled the book on a binder ring so it's all ready to be shared!
It is SO nice having this page die. It made such easy work of getting all of the pages to turn out perfectly along with the holes lining up. Not to mention it was a a breeze to make the matching overlays out of clear cardstock.
Here's some additional photos of the individual pages of the book...
Now, I told you earlier to keep in mind that this set can be used for card making as well. Let me show you a few things I created with it.
This card just makes me smile, hence the sentiment I selected for it!
I used the library card lines with Smokey Shadow ink to fill in this block of white catrdstock.
I then used the leaf & flower from All About You, paired with a small flower from Beautiful Blooms II to embellish the card.
I added clear rhinestones to the centers of the small flowers and then an Orange Zest button to the center of the large flower.
The sentiment is from Fillable frames # 5 and fit perfectly with the style of this project.
And how can I forget to mention the Sunshine Impression plate I used in the background? Isn't it just stunning?!?!?
Now how about another fun use of the Library Ledger stamp set.
I paired this particular line image with Fillable Frames #4. It was easy to line it up so that the dashed portion matched up with the center two points of the frame. The line is stamped in Spring Rain, while the frame is in Ripe Avocado.
I added the Just a Note sentiment from Take Note directly onto the lines using Enchanted Evening ink.
I used the ledger background strip to line the bottom & top edges of my card using Versamark ink.
The Enchanted Evening frame was created with the Fillable Frames #4 die. After I die-cut the center, I ran it through my Big Shot again using the Woodgrain Impression plate. I love the texture it adds, don't you?
I adhered the frame over the stamped focal point with foam dimensionals.
A small binder clip (purchased in the stationery section at Target) is added to the top for the frame for some visual interest.
This project showcases how you can mix and match older sets with new sets to gain even more uses than you thought possible!
I stamped these butterflies from Butterfly Dreams onto a piece of Rustic Cream cardstock. The large center one is done in Plum Pudding, with the smaller two in Scarlet Jewel.
I then stamped a double line image from Heather's new set, underneath the butterflies using Scarlet Jewel ink.
After playing around a bit, I discovered that the long, thin sentiments from Big & Bold Wishes will fit in the space. Aren't coincidences like this wonderful!!!!
I kept this card pretty simple and just embellished the center of the large butterfly using adhesive pearls.
Here you can see the impressed texture that the new In Bloom Impression Plate created for the background. So rich & luxurious looking.
A simple card that can still pack some wow!
I don't know about you, but the amazing basics that Heather designed for this kit are just so versatile and really empower you to do SO much!
