Last year Heather introduced one of the single-most classically stylish sports themed sets I've ever inked up, All-Star Team and All-Star Team Additions. This month she has created a follow-up set, containing ball images to be used with the original sets.
The details.
- Have a Ball will be available for sale on April 15th.
- It will retail for $5.
- Have a Ball contains a total of 6 stamps (soccer ball, basketball/volleyball, baseball/softball, football, and two solid circles)
I have some fun projects to showcase for you today using these two sets, so let's go ahead and get started!
First up is Fillable Frames #3. This month's contribution to the series is whimsical, not to mention SOOOO unique. It really adds so much to project, and you can't beat the adorable sentences that Heather designed to go along with it.
As always, there is a easy to use die designed to coordinate with the frame so it's easy to cut out. For this project, I die-cut the shape from Raspberry Fizz cardstock and then stamped the frame with Fresh Snow ink. I then used the dreams sentiment (also from this set) with True Black ink.
It got adhered in place at the top of my project using foam dimensionals.
The bottom of the cover features images from Honey Bees stamp set. The grass is inked with Ripe Avocado ink and then stamped twice, creating the variegated colors. I used various flowers from the set with Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist & Summer Sunrise inks. The little bee is stamped in True Black ink with a hand drawn flight trail. Love this happy little project!
My next card is super simple, but yet striking and sure to bring a smile to the recipient!
I started by stamping the background on my Pure Poppy card base with one of the small dot medallions from Dot Spot using Versamark ink.
The focal point "sun" is the second to largest dot medallion from Dot Spot, inked with Summer Sunrise. Then I used the same dot medallion from the background, over stamped int he center, using Orange Zest ink. I die-cut the frame shape from Stamper's Select White cardstock and then stamped the frame with Pure Poppy ink. The sentiment SO appropriate for this card, and it's stamped in True Black ink. You may also notice that the entire focal point block is sponged around the edge with Spring Rain ink to give it the look of the sky!
Next is a project I created using Have a Ball I love how this little $5 set allows me to get so much more use from my All Star Team & Additions sets!
I decided to pair the baseball image with our new Outlines Alphabet. I placed the last three letters of the word "coach" on my block together and stamped them with Fresh Snow ink.
I stamped the baseball image to hold it's place, and then added the second "c" at the beginning.
I used the darkest marker from the Ripe Avocado Trio to color in all of the letters.
I hand-cut a bat shape from Kraft cardstock and stamped it with Dawn McVey's new Woodgrain background set, using versamark ink. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out! I also inked the edges of the bat with Chai Tea Dye ink.
The background of the card features the coordinating Impression Plate. This product is the coolest thing since sliced bread and I think every paper crafter NEEDS it!
To finish the assembly, I stamped the baseball with Pure Poppy ink onto Stamper's Select White cardstock and punched it out, adhering it in it's appropriate place with a foam dimensional. The Ripe Avocado focal point layer is matted with Pure Poppy cardstock and trimmed with pinking shears. Such a fun project to make!
I created some key elements for this project using All-Star Team and Additions. I stamped the pennant flag with Orange Zest ink and then over-stamped with the smallest dot image from Polka Dot Basics II using Summer Sunrise ink. Lastly, "Champion" is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink in the middle of the pennant. The soccer ball image (from Have a Ball) is stamped in Dark Chocolate. I outlined a block of Dark Chocolate cardstock with a ruler & white gel pen.
When you put these elements together, you end up with this! The card base is created from Terracotta Tile cardstock and it is stamped with the star image from the All-Star team sets using Versamark ink.
The sentiment (also from ALl-Star Team) is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink to finish it all off.
