This post has been a long time in coming and I sincerely apologize for my belatedness! The entries to our last Guest Star Stamper contest in February were nothing short of amazing and it was so very difficult to narrow down all of the winners! I hope you will enjoy the projects I chose to share with you today and get inspired to create something fabulous!
BethieJ literally took my breath away with the beauty she showcased in her baby gift ensemble here. It's so delicate, so soft, so baby girl. The items would definitely become a treasured keepsake for the recipient! She paired the floral image from Blooming Button Bits with large sentiments from Baby Button Bits in an elegant manner. The layers of soft colors along with the soft distressing are just a fabulous combination.
Linda W created the most adorable quilted background for this little bear from Baby Button Bits with patterned papers found in the Pretty Pastels pad. I loved the precision in which she created it and the coziness you feel when looking at it!
I loved what Heather Jackman did with the button that tops off her cupcake image from Baby Button Bits. She adhered rhinestones to the ridge at the edge of the button, which really takes it to another level. Something I look forward to incorporating in one of my projects soon!
Rogski6 created a stunning collection of baby onesies using Everyday Button Bits. They look just like something one might find at Gymboree! And how easy to create as a gift too! Just stamp and stitch the buttons into place! Too cute!
Michele Hetland really embraced the simple style of our Through the Trees set with her winning project. Sometimes it can be challenging to strike a balance between not enough and too much with these types of images, but Michele didn't miss a beat with her Twill and Vintage Button frame. The colors of these embellishments really set off the birds nestled in the trees. Everything is perfectly balanced and the choice to omit a sentiment was just perfect.
Elmo98cas (Cibele Glazer) created a mask for her single layer Through the Trees card and sponged and stamped leaf images to create a frame around her focal point. I love the color choice of Smokey Shadow and the simple placement of the sentiment.
Julie Cameron kept it super simple with her tree project. I loved how she "roughed-up" the edges of the focal point paper to make it look a bit like handmade paper. The four corner accent in black really help to set off the trees and sentiment in perfect harmony. Just lovely.
Ted Mattos cleverly used a toothpick as a curtain rod, paired with long pieces of twill ribbon as the curtains, making it appear as though you are looking through a window at a tree-lined scene. So creative to incorporate a household item in such a fun way!
Kim Schofield used one of my favorite sets of all time, Friends 'Til the End, to create this stunning project. I love, love, LOVE the richness of the color scheme. Her background features a perfect pairing of Polka Dot Basics II and Text Style. The sentiment layered on top of the flower with a pop of bright white is the perfect finishing detail. Not to mention her amazing coloring skills. Simply gorgeous! Makes me want to go get my Copics out!
Laurel Seabrook created a pretty little scene with her On My Couch set. The monochromatic color scheme of black & gray really sets the stage for an impressive project that's all about the details. From the cat to the framed art to the coffee mug sitting on the table. you just want to jump into the scene and sit for a spell!
Janelle Hayes wowed me with her idea to substitute heart punches for the balloons in this image from Everyday Button Bits. I also loved the Bitty Box Spring Rain paper used for the sky. Just such a cheerful project that makes you want to smile!
Natasha Trupp layered several different sizes of heart images from Heart Prints across this simple single layer kraft card base. I love simple schemes like this, and her project is definitely no exception. Certainly something to try with a variety of different sets.
Melissa Ladd used the elephant from the Click Simple "Rock-a-bye Baby" shape collection to create a beautiful gift ensemble. I loved the color combination of pale yellow and blue. I also loved the touch of patterned paper she carried over into the elephants ear. The simple layout embraces the elephant shape perfectly and can be used for so many other applications as well!
Julie Masse cleverly paired the Back to Basics box template with three-dimensional umbrellas created with images from Scattered Showers. A little pipe cleaner is all it took to make adorable favors that would be perfect for either a Bridal or Baby shower!
Happy Now used the "Love" shape from the Be My Valentine collection on this adorable scrapbook page. I love how she outlined the word with stitching. Not only does that detail set it off, it also adds some fun texture.
Terri Moore created a shaped card using the Be My Valentine collection as well. I loved the pop-up detail she used inside her card to spell out "I love you". This would truly be a treat for nearly anyone to receive!
