Beth Silaika has a very distinct style that is very representative of her personality. You can't help but have FUN when using her images and this month's set is not exception!
Springtime Doodles is a fun compilation of doodled spring images that can be used aloe or combined to create scenes and focal points. The style is perfect to be used in cards for kids or just an overall whimsical feel that is appropriate for almost any age!

I personally had way too much fun playing with these images, as they are quite different from anything else in my stamp collection. I feel like they really gave me the ability to go in new directions and I hope you agree after you've seen all that I've made with this collection of stamps!
This first project is one of my favorites from the bunch. I have always had a thing for dandelions, and the one that Beth illustrated for this set is just perfect! I think this project is gender neutral enough that it could totally be used for any men in your life too!
I strated with some Ocean Tides cardstock and stamped the dandelions across the cover using Versamark ink. I then sprinkled them with Clear Filigree embossing powder and heat set.
Using a paper towel, I dabbed a small amount of Fresh Snow ink into the center of each flower and spread the ink in a circular motion. I love how soft and radiant the ink became around each bloom.
I added a variety of different sizes of rhinestones to their centers as a finishing touch.
Not only do the rhinestones add sparkle, they also add dimension to an otherwise flat card.
For the sentiment strip, I stamped Text Style II with Smokey Shadow ink onto Rustic Cream cardstock. I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Fillable Frames #1 in black ink over that. By adding a bit of Tea Dye Duo around the edges of the strip, it helped to give this project a nice warm feeling.
This next project could be used for a variety of occasions, including celebrating the birth of a baby. Isn't is adorable?!?!
I created a little "scene" using a fern image from the set in Spring Moss ink and the same dandelion image from above in Hawaiian Shores ink. I sponged the edges of the cardstock with the Tea Dye Duo for a more vintage feel.
The bee was stamped separately and cut out. The little guy is colored in with the Summer Sunrise Copic Trio. I adhered him in place with a foam dimensional. I also adhered a bit of our Rustic Button Twine behind him to represent a "flight path". It is adhered in place with small bits of 1/8" Scor-tape. I love this accent and look forward to trying it again on another project soon!
The sentiment, from Inside & Out: Baby, is just too perfect for this project. Who doesn't love quotes from Winnie the Pooh?!?!? The phrase is stamped with Hawaiian Shores ink.
This card showcases just how simple things can be when using this set!
I started with a few floral images, stamped in Fresh Snow ink on kraft cardstock.
I stitched the stems with my sewing machine and added a few leaves with Fresh Snow ink. I then followed up with the adorable lady bug image, stamped in black ink. Notice how he looks as though he just landed upon that flower?
I stamped the bug a second time on white cardstock and colored it in with Pure Poppy Copics. I was then able to trim it out to layer in the next step. Notice how by stamping the bug onto the kraft cardstock first, I didn't have to cut out the antennae in the white version. Certainly makes things a lot easier!
Now you can see how I was able to adhere the bug in place with a foam dimensional. The sentiment at the bottom is the perfect touch to this project! It's from Vintage Picnic sentiments and I think the font combination goes perfectly with this set.
I have one last project for you today...a clear card. One of my favorite things to experiment with!
I always get so many questions when I create a clear card, I thought it would be perfect to create a little how-to video. There's even some step by step Copic coloring included. I think you'll enjoy the presentation and hopefully learn something new too!
So, can you believe how FUN these images are! They just make me smile every time I look at them! Not to mention, my daughter Hannah LOVES all my projects and says she wants to keep them forever on her bulletin board in her room!
